Needle Knight Leda is the leader of a group called 'Miquella's Followers' and is the first NPC you'll encounter related to Elden Ring'sShadow of the Erdtree DLC. You first speak to Leda next to Miquella's cocoon in Mohg's arena, and you'll encounter her a variety of other times as you progress through the Shadow Lands.

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree: Best New Straight Swords, Ranked

Straight Sword fans received a few new additions with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. But how do these new arrivals rank up in terms of efficiency?

As her name suggests, Leda fights with a pretty thin sword (it's actually one of the rare few Light Greatswords) and has a whole lot of lightning-fast slashes and stabs when using this weapon. Thankfully, you can also get Leda's Sword for yourself, alongside all of her armor as well. It's a bit involved, so let's go over exactly how you go about obtaining Leda's Sword in Elden Ring.

Needle Piercer

Not only is Leda's Sword absolutely beautiful in terms of its design, but this Light Greatsword is honestly just a fantastic weapon all around. Its moveset, whether 1H or 2H, is very good, its default Ash of War (Needle Piercer) is incredibly useful though a bit odd in its function, it has great default scaling, and it has relatively low stat requirements.

Because it's a Light Greatsword, it pretty much gets all the benefits of a standard Greatsword, while also being able to be swung faster for more utility. The Ash of War in particular needs a bit of extra explanation due to its unique effect. Basically, when Needle Piercer is used, ten golden needles are summoned in the air around your target before firing down at (and into) them from all directions. The interesting thing is, however, that on top of dealing damage, these needles also purge the target of all ailments and special effects. This can be used to get rid of an enemy or boss's buffs or even used to remove a negative ailment you've applied to a boss so you can reapply it for extra damage or to re-proc certain equipment. All-in-all, out of all the new weapons added in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Leda's Sword is one of the best.

Much like how you can't really miss getting Dane's Footwork from Dryleaf Dane, you can't really 'miss' obtaining Leda's Sword in Elden Ring, as obtaining it is sort of part of the process of reaching the final boss of the DLC. Essentially, once you reach an area of the game called Enir-Ilim (which requires beating two very difficult bosses first), you're very close to getting Leda's Sword. Progress through this brutally difficult area at your own pace and eventually you'll reach a Site of Grace in the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom.

Once you reach this SoG, there's only one step left to obtaining Leda's Sword, and that's beating Needle Knight Leda. After this Grace, you'll climb some stairs and see Leda standing in the middle of a giant circular room. Go and speak with her, and after she disappears you'll notice a red summon sign on the ground. Interact with this, and you'll be given the option to be summoned in to fight Leda and her allies, and you can't really avoid doing this.

After hitting yes, you'll be summoned into an alternate version of this arena room, and Miquella's Followers will slowly appear one after another starting with The Hornsent and ending with Needle Knight Leda. This fight is incredibly difficult and incredibly chaotic, so make sure to take full advantage of summoning both a co-op companion and Pureblood Knight Ansbach for this encounter, otherwise, it quickly becomes a 3v1. Once you finally manage to beat all of Miquella's Followers, you'll be given Leda's Sword and brought back to your own world. Here, you'll see the bodies of the NPCs you just fought strewn about the arena, and you can interact with each one to get their associated armor and weapons.
