Elden Ring data miners have found a deleted cutscene in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC where St. Trina thanks the Tarnished for killing Miquella. St. Trina is one of the NPCs players get to interact with in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and many players found the ending to her arc a bit abrupt after the final boss is defeated.

Soulsborne games are known for their ambiguous lore, and Elden Ring treads the same path. Even two years after the launch of the main game, several Elden Ring secrets are left unanswered. The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brings some more mysteries along with it, and while trying to decipher those, the community has discovered a left-out cutscene.

An Elden Ring fan reveals a much-requested Dark Souls 2 feature they want to be added to Colosseums in the game before FromSoftware shelves the title.

In a new video, Elden Ring dataminer Sekiro Dubi reveals an interesting piece of content they found while dissecting the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Apparently, there was a fourth cutscene with St. Trina, which was deleted from the game. The cutscene depicts St. Trina stating “Thank you. Finally, he will be free.” Since there are no subtitles associated with the cutscene, there is a bit of ambiguity around whether St. Trina says "he" or "we." However, what's pivotal is the essence of the dialogue, as it is supposed to take place after players have defeated Radahn, Consort of Miquella in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Fans Are Divided Over St. Trina's Ending In Shadow of the Erdtree

Fans are already trying to figure out what lore implications St. Trina's dialogue could have in Elden Ring. When seen in light of the other existing cutscenes with St. Trina, the dialogue makes much more sense. St. Trina earlier requests the Tarnished to kill Miquella as godhood would be a prison for him. Thus, by killing Miquella, the player sets him free and grants St. Trina's wishes. Fans are debating whether the cutscene was rightly left out or not since St. Trina dying after Miquella is defeated makes sense, but at the same time leaves her ending a bit incomplete.

On the other hand, Elden Ring fans are also curious how much of the content was left out, since some think that the DLC feels incomplete in many portions. For instance, the Abyssal Woods has been a divisive area in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, as many think that it feels quite empty. The same goes for the Ancient Ruins of Rauh as well. It remains to be seen if there are some more hidden pieces of content dataminers are able to decipher in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
