The Elden Ring DLC brings with it a ton of new items, recipes, weapons, armor, ashes of war, incantations, spells, and much more. Anything and everything that was present in the base game has received new additions in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Bell Bearings are some of the most valuable items in the entire game, as they turn otherwise limited resources into something players can buy outright. The String-Seller's Bell Bearing only offers one item: String, a seemingly innocuous item used in a bunch of recipes with no easy farm route. And luckily, it can be obtained without fighting any bosses.

Where to Find String-Seller's Bell Bearing

The String-Seller's Bell Bearing can be found at the western edge of Prospect Town in the Gravesite Plains, hanging from a string by the side of the mountainside. The item is inside a black pot at the end of the string floating in the air. To get it, players will need to shoot it down while zooming in with a bow and arrow.

If you don't have it, a Shortbow can be bought from the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold for 600 Runes.

Reaching the String-Seller's Bell Bearing's location is possible right from the start of the DLC, as soon as you step into the Land of Shadow for the very first time. From the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace, head northwest, hugging the side of the mountain until you reach the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace just past the Western Nameless Mausoleum (Blackgaol Knight). This Site of Grace sits in front of a gigantic archway marking a tunnel that ends with the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace. Prospect Town is directly to the south.

Instead of entering the town, follow the grassy path to the right, and you'll end up in a valley with a single Bloodfiend. Defeat him and look up at the cliff to the left to locate a black pot hanging by a string. Equip a bow, zoom in, and shoot it down. The pot will drop, and a purple item will spill out. Pick it up to get the String-Seller's Bell Bearing.
