After much anticipation, Elden Ring players finally have the chance to get to grips with the full game world. Despite the countless intense enemies and creatures, other players invading can actually result in the most challenging encounters in the game. One Elden Ring player showed off just how difficult these invasions can be with a recent clip of them undertaking over 100 invasions.

Elden Ring is the latest game developed by FromSoftware, and it was made in collaboration with novelist George R. R. Martin. This game features elements similar to those found in the Dark Souls series but also introduces an open world for players to explore.

This clip comes from u/Zooterman, and it is a lengthy combination of this player invading others and causing absolute chaos at the Secluded Cell in Elden Ring's Stormveil Castle. They use a large assortment of weapons and tricks to make over a 100 players journey to this area of the game more interesting and much more challenging. One of the more devastating of u/Zooterman strategies is to turn themselves into a bomb by combining a Ruptured Crystal Tear with their Flask of Wondrous Physick. This causes their character to glow, and, once they rush towards the invaded players, they explode, dealing massive amounts of damage. Other clips show this player taking advantage of the ability to transform oneself into an object in the game. They sit and wait as a statue or a box and surprise unsuspecting players in this area.

Invading in Elden Ring can be accomplished by acquiring Festering Bloody Fingers that can be purchased at certain merchants. Being able to successfully invade over 100 players would likely take quite a lot of time, however, and successful invasions don't give a lot in the way of rewards. Those players looking to transform need to first acquire the Mimic’s Veil spell at Stormveil Castle.

Boasting over 100 invasions on this post, u/Zooterman points out something that can split the Dark Souls community. Th game can be frustrating for those looking for more of a solitary adventure through the game. Invading players can come at inopportune times, kill players just before reaching a Site of Grace, and ruin a stretch of good play.

Then again, invading has been a part of FromSoftware games since the beginning. This feature allows players to have unique interactions with others, hone their skills against unpredictable players, and play games such as Elden Ring with friends. Regardless of how players feel about invading, this clip shows some impressive commitment by an Elden Ring player.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
