The Elden Ring randomizer mod and its unpredictable nature caused an adorable encounter between a few players and the Fire Giant. Elden Ring, and the other games made by FromSoftware of the same formula, are already known for being quite unpredictable to many players, whether it's intentional or not. If it's not players being surprised by Malenia's boss fight having a second phase, it's enemies glitching and doing things that they aren't supposed to be doing. Some players like to use randomizers, so things can be just that more uncertain, usually to a more ridiculous effect. However, it seems one random occurrence thanks to the randomizer is rather adorable instead of violent.

The Elden Ring randomizer mod is as simple as it sounds, though more complex in its execution. The randomizer mod changes the locations of a multitude of things in the game, from bosses to enemies to even items, making the experience fresh for players who had already played through the game. While sometimes the randomized items can be beneficial to players, like giving them a high-level weapon early on in the game, they can also be detrimental, like replacing the first Great Enemy Boss with a boss that may not even fit well within the original boss' arena.

One group of players instead got to see something that was much more wholesome, which contrasts greatly with Elden Ring's darker nature and tone. In a post on r/Eldenring, user Torkveen uploaded a picture of them and their friends at the location of the optional Valiant Gargoyle boss fight in the Siofra Aqueduct. Instead of the infamous gargoyle duo, there was instead the Fire Giant boss in what seems to be his non-hostile pose, holding his gigantic lid above his head, making it look like he is shielding himself from the waterfall.

In the comments, some users were commenting on the coincidence of this unique randomizer placement as it fits so well, while others were envious as in their own randomizer runs they would get enemies like Elden Ring's serpentine Demi-god boss Rykard twice.

Elden Ring is already a game where luck can be a major factor in whether a player is victorious or not. One moment, a player could be running through many of the game's dungeons unscathed, and the next, they could be pinned behind a statue by several of Elden Ring's Glintstone Sorcerers. Those players that put their luck in a randomizer mod must be ready to come across the unpredictable, something that will most likely surprise them. However, sometimes it can lead to something more wholesome.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
