An Elden Ring fan constructed a breathtaking diorama of the Radahn Festival, capturing the heat of battle. Ever since the early days of Elden Ring's release, the Festival has been an adored event that takes place in the Lands Between and is considered one of the greatest spectacles FromSoftware has crafted.

The first time players likely hear about the Festival of Radahn is from the beloved Iron Fist Alexander, a Warrior Jar heading east for Redmane Castle. Later into the game, the festival of combat held at Radahn's keep can become a crucial moment for multiple quests, but it is entirely optional. However, players would be wise to attend, given that the fight - a confrontation that has been dubbed Elden Ring's "raid" - is one of the open-world's most compelling. A rot-plagued Radahn roams the dunes of Caelid, his strength replaced by a hunger that sees him feast indiscriminately on the corpses of friend and foe. That said, the demigod is by no means weak, still boasting sufficient power to hold back the stars and ease his steed's suffering, waiting for a champion worthy enough to best him.

In celebration of the glorious battle, an Elden Ring spent five days constructing a spectacular diorama of the occasion, featuring several of the summonable NPCs that Tarnished can lead into the fray. Unlike most boss encounters in Elden Ring, Starscourge Radahn can be fought solo or with up to eight other characters, and the diorama represents the more collaborative effort. With the Tarnished and almost all available NPCs surrounding him, Radahn stands in the center of the piece, his Greatsword-wielding arms outstretched.

A Reddit post by DarkSoulsModels captures the diorama with a series of stunning images, highlighting the exquisite designs and painting that went into it. Furthermore, the redditor runs a YouTube channel by the same name which documented the diorama's construction in a three-part series. They credited Realsteone, a digital sculptor, for the asset designs which were then 3D-printed, built, and painted by Dark Souls Models. By no means a novice, the diorama creator has spent the last month painting models from the Dark Souls board game including Gravelord Nito, Crossbreed Priscilla, and the Painted World of Ariamis.

Commentors particularly enjoyed the inclusion of Patches, who famously runs away if summoned to confront Radahn. The diorama presents him fleeing with a terrified expression on his face, true to the embodiment of cowardice that he is. Others pointed out that Therolina was missing from the diorama, another of the summonable NPCs. Those who have not completed Ranni's quest may not know that Therolina is in fact purchasable as a Puppet from Seluvis' body, which may explain why she is unable to speak to the player at Redmane Castle.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
