The Prayer Room Key is a key item in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC that is used to open a specific door. The precise position of that door is not immediately obvious, though, and some players may struggle to find it. For those fans that are indeed confused about where to use the Prayer Room Key in Elden Ring, or simply need some help obtaining the item, this guide is here to point them in the right direction.

It is highly recommended that players collect the Scadu Altus Map Fragment in Elden Ring before they attempt to use the Prayer Room Key.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - How to Get Prayer Room Key

While it is expected that most readers will have already obtained the Prayer Room Key, a few words about its source may be useful to some. Quite simply, the key is earned by defeating Fire Knight Queelign twice, and that invader can be found near the Small Private Altar Site of Grace in Elden Ring's Belurat, Tower Settlement and at the Church of the Crusade in Scadu Altus. The maps and images that are above should make it easy for fans to reach those locations.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - Where to Use Prayer Room Key

Go to the Shadow Keep Church District

Players who want to put the Prayer Room Key to use must first travel to Shadow Keep's Church District. This journey begins at the Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altus, and fans should travel southeast from this location's Site of Grace to find a ruined building with a tall turret. Elden Ring players who travel along the northeast side of that building will discover that they can descend into a chasm, and they should make their way to the bottom. Here, fans will find a tunnel that leads to a ladder, and they should climb that structure.

Upon reaching the top of the ladder, players will arrive in Bonny Village, and they should ride eastward until they reach the Bridge Leading to the Village Site of Grace. From there, fans should follow the road north (to Church District Highroad Site of Grace), and then continue traveling in a northwesterly direction to enter the Church District in Elden Ring's Shadow Keep.

Players will encounter one of Elden Ring 's Furnace Golems on this path, though they do not need to fight it.

Traverse the Shadow Keep Church District

After activating the Church District Entrance Site of Grace, players should jump down to the roof that is below them and walk to its far side. Here, fans should stand on one of the roof's protrusions and jump to the wall that is front of them. Players should now go to the far side of the wall, turn right, and use the rubble ramp to reach an elevated ledge.

At the ledge, players should turn left and jump to the roof that is in front of them. Fans should then turn to the left once again, make their way to the roof's far side, and jump to the buttress on their left. That support will lead players to a section of roof with a hole in it, and they should fall through that hole and land on the stone arch that is just below them.

Players should now use that arch to reach a platform on the far side of the room, turn around, and drop to the ground level. Elden Ring fans should now be looking directly at a door, and indeed it can be opened with the help of the Prayer Room Key.
