The long-awaited From Software title Elden Ring has finally been released and players are hard at work exploring the grand but twisted landscape of the Lands Between. Gamers can face a wide array of imposing and often disturbing foes on their journey, some of which are mandatory encounters, but most of which can be sought out according to players' own schedules. One Elden Ring player recently encountered a bug that allowed them to glitch inside a Walking Mausoleum foe.

Of the many enemies Elden Ring has to offer, Walking Mausoleums may be the largest. They take the form of titanic tortoise-like creatures with rocky bodies, giant bells hanging from their bellies, and entire buildings carried on their backs. These creatures can be found roaming the game's open-world setting.

The mausoleum on top of a Walking Mausoleum's back can be entered, where players can duplicate rewards gained from slaying demi-god bosses. However, gamers are encouraged to attack the creature's feet first to stop it in its tracks before trying to enter. Redditor Whatevers2084 shared a video of them trying to get into a Walking Mausoleum's door without stopping the giant monster first and promptly glitching inside the beast. This isn't the first bug Elden Ring players have encountered, but it may be one of the funniest.

In the video, Whatevers2084's character is shown riding their horse over an array of rocky and grassy terrain. Using a nearby mountain to get some height, they manage to leap onto the back of a moving Walking Mausoleum and locate the door. However, upon dismounting from the horse and trying to open the door, the character appears to levitate into the air. They glitch through the building and then down into the creature's rocky body.

The video ends with Whatevers2084 still trapped inside the creature, not taking any damage but also seemingly unable to get out. The final scene has the player decide to zoom in on their character's face and have the character perform a gesture labeled "The Ring" that involves raising the hands over the head in a circle. Although Walking Mausoleums can technically be attacked, they do not actually count as enemies for the purposes of certain Elden Ring mechanics. In other words, they can't be targeted, which means players can still use the map to teleport away. This is likely good news for Whatevers2084 and any other player interested in trying to access a Walking Mausoleum's building.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
