A lucky Elden Ring player manages to find a Site of Grace at the perfect time. Even though Elden Ring is a newer game, it features many similarities and commonalities with the Dark Souls series and FromSoftware’s other titles.

As an example, like souls and Bonfires in Dark Souls, runes and Sites of Grace play a key role in the world of Elden Ring. Users can perform a variety of different tasks at these sites, such as leveling up their character, upgrading healing flasks, changing active spells, and more. They also function as checkpoints, as users respawn at the previous Site of Grace upon dying in Elden Ring. Now, a new video features one lucky gamer finding a Site of Grace at the perfect time.

A Reddit user named Colonel-Cornhole has shared a clip from the Lake of Rot, perhaps one of the most treacherous locations in Elden Ring. For those unaware, the Lake of Rot can inflict players with the Scarlet Rot effect that deals damage over time, and it can be petty dangerous if users don’t have the items to remove it. As seen in the video, Colonel-Cornhole is slowly losing health as a result of Scarlet Rot, but they manage to see a Site of Grace in the distance. What follows is a race against time, with the player just about making it to the Site of Grace before dying.

Some fans in the comments make note of the player’s low health pool and recommend that they should level up the vigor stat in Elden Ring. A few gamers also mention that Colonel-Cornhole has only upgraded the Flask of Crimson Tears to a +2, thereby not getting the full benefits of the healing flask. The post's title mentions that this was the player’s first visit to the Lake of Rot, so they’ll probably be making upgrades before coming back to this location.

As mentioned by other users, Preserving Boluses is a consumable item that can cure the effects of Scarlet Rot, but the player confirms that they had run out of them at this point in Elden Ring. The rest of the comments are filled with strategies gamers can use to tackle the Lake of Rot in Elden Ring, with one claiming that rolling inside this area leads to players getting inflicted with a less powerful version of the Scarlet Rot status effect, so it can help users in passing through the location.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
