Elden Ring is a FromSoftware game, which means it is characterized by a ton of boss battles that are not for the faint of heart and can be some of the most difficult fights that gamers come across. Many players spend a lot of time grinding in Elden Ring, trying their best to level up as much as possible to give themselves a bit more of an edge and a chance at defeating some of the game's most difficult bosses.

One of these difficult bosses is Malenia, Blade of Miquella, who is known for her power over the scarlet rot, which she unleashed upon the Starscourge Radahn during the Shattering and brought ruin upon Caelid. She is extremely fast, has a lot of different types of attacks in her moveset, and has a second phase that is even more difficult than her first one, which comes as a surprise to players who think they are home free.

However, one player, Redditor Mygos, posts a video of their triumphant victory over Malenia as a level 1 Wretch using nothing but a club and simple buckler. The video shows Mygos parrying almost every single attack that Malenia throws at them and also roll dodging when needed, getting in charge attacks when possible, and using freezing pots at just the right moments to interrupt Malenia's aerial attack. Impressively, Mygos doesn't take any damage throughout the entire fight (and, being level 1, would probably die from the first hit) and, similar to how famous Elden Ring player Let Me Solo Her defeats Malenia, makes the fight look easy.

For those that are unfamiliar with Elden Ring, a wretch is the "deprived" starting class of the game, which means they start at level 1 with a 10 in all stats and nothing but a club as starting items. This makes Elden Ring's wretch the game's weakest class and should only be picked by players that are looking to add even more of a challenge to an already challenging game.

Defeating Malenia at all is an impressive achievement, but doing it as a level 1 wretch with nothing but a club and buckler is absolutely incredible. Mygos writes in the title of the post that they are accomplishing this after a ton of practice, and the results speak for themselves -- just figuring out the parry timing in Elden Ring for each of the different attacks alone must have taken hours of practice and hard work.

In any case, players like Mygos are putting in the hard work and overcoming all of Elden Ring's challenges and even adding their own difficult elements to the challenges to raise the stakes. It will be interesting to see what videos of players accomplishing incredible challenges in Elden Ring pop up next -- the possibilities are endless.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
