From Software has an impressive history with DLC for the brutally hard Dark Souls series and Bloodborne, with many fan favorite areas and boss fights coming from this post-release content. This naturally means that fans have been quick to try guessing at what DLC might be coming to Elden Ring, scouring every location across the Lands Between for what might be coming in the future.

One player in particular has found an out-of-bounds area in Elden Ring that could point at what From Software has planned for an upcoming DLC based on what the developer has done before. The new area might specifically be pointing at a PVP arena, similar to the Battle of Stoicism that was added to the DLC of Dark Souls alongside the past version of Oolacile.

In a recent video, the player shows off the inside of an arena that isn't currently accessible, found by clipping out of the regular bounds and threw and area that renders without any light or textures. However, once through the dark, opening area, the rest of the arena is fully built and mildly textured with lower-resolution flooring, walls, and decorations of war-torn rubble. The result is a partial arena that might work as the center for PVP in Elden Ring as a part of some piece of upcoming DLC that From Software might be planning for release later on.

This specific type of DLC has been implemented by From Software in previous games before, such as the Hollow Arena in Dark Souls 3 and Battle of Stoicism in the original Dark Souls. While these features haven't quite seemed to take off the way that invasions have in the Souls series, the more opt-in PVP of Elden Ring through the Taunter's Tongue or outnumbering invaders might help this arena. Of course, it should be noted that the developer hasn't announced any details about DLC for Elden Ring at the time of this writing, making this evidence speculation.

Whether this partially built arena is a hint at future content or not, players are already excited to see what From Software might have prepared when it comes to adding new content to this latest title. Considering how Elden Ring's map works, however, it's entirely likely that DLC will take a similar path as previous games by the developer in making completely new areas for players to warp to. Either way, the popularity of PVP would still make a player arena like this a welcome inclusion to the already massive game.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
