On December 22, an e-commerce site, has started their end of 2022 sale, giving players the chance to get some of this year’s biggest releases including Elden Ring and Modern Warfare 2 at a discount. The sale offers discounts up to a massive 95% off, making it a worthy competitor to the Steam Winter Sale.
As there are many sales on at this time of year it pays off to be a savvy shopper. With Steam and GOG offering winter sales, it pays to shop around and find the best deals available.
The Newegg sale includes PC and Xbox games only, so PlayStation players will have to check out their own sale over at PSN. The sale continues through December 31, with some discounts holding on a little while longer into the new year. Big titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will only be available in the sale until January 1, meanwhile game of the year Elden Ring is available at a considerable discount until January 5. With the PC standard edition at a discount of 33% and PC deluxe edition at 35% buyers will be able to pick them up at $39.99 and $51.99 respectively.
Another great deal is available for Forza Horizon 5 standard edition, which is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. While not quite as impressive as getting Forza Horizon 5 at 99% off, the Newegg offer places the title at a discount of 58%, bringing the price down to $24.99. Forza Horizon 5 will be discounted until January 2. Also available until January 2 are Halo Infinite, NBA 2K23, Grand Theft Auto 5 premium online edition, Red Dead Redemption 2 ultimate edition, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla standard edition, and Far Cry 6 standard edition.
This is also a great chance for players to pick up Marvel’s Spider-Man for PC as the title is at a 33% discount, making it $39.99 until January 5. Regretfully, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is not part of that deal, but given that Sony has recently revealed the release window for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players new to the franchise will have time to prepare starting with the original.
FIFA 23 standard edition is available only until December 31, so soccer fans will need to act fast. If speed is appealing, the blue blur, Sonic the Hedgehog is also making an appearance in the sale, and given that Sonic Frontiers has added a free Christmas DLC, it’s all the more reason to pick up Sonic Frontiers at 36% off and Sonic Frontiers deluxe edition at 37% off making the titles $37.99 and $43.99 respectively.
