Elden Ring has a much higher total number of bosses than other games by From Software. Despite being more approachable, Elden Ring’s world is filled with many frustrating bosses that can kill players with just a few hits. The endgame areas in particular are gaining notoriety for having some of the most difficult encounters in any From Software title.

The Elden Ring modding community has already released a bunch of mods that can significantly alter the game. As an example, gamers can choose to make it easier or even harder for themselves, with one mod also adding the highly requested photo mode. The Elden Ring peaceful mod allows players to make themselves invisible in photo mode, and it can also be used to take selfies with the bosses. Now, a new mod pits two of the most annoying Elden Ring bosses against each other.

Developed by Garden of Eyes, this Elden Ring mod features an encounter between Malenia, Blade of Miquella, and Starscourge Radahn. A video showcasing the mod opens with an exciting intro before jumping into a best-of-three match, with Malenia ultimately coming out on top in the final round. Garden of Eyes has also added a bonus round that shows Malenia in her deadly second form, and she is able to defeat Radahn in less than 30 seconds. Garden of Eyes is famous for making similar boss vs boss videos for Bloodborne, and fans can find them on Patreon for more information.

Both Malenia and Radahn have served as roadblocks for many players. Thankfully, Elden Ring has an extremely versatile battle system that encourages players to try different strategies to conquer their enemies. Malenia can be found at the end of an optional area in Elden Ring. As seen in the video, she has a permanent life steal buff, and she can heal herself even when players are blocking. Malenia is generally considered to be the toughest boss in Elden Ring, but defeating her will reward players with a massive number of runes.

Players will encounter Radahn around mid-game, but he can be equally frustrating. This isn’t a regular 1v1 fight like Malenia, as players challenge Radahn in the massive desert area from the video. The Radahn boss battle can be a bit gimmicky, and it’s recommended to use the various summon signs placed on the battlefield. As shown by Elden Ring speedrunners, this boss can be defeated without the help of NPCs. While Radahn is ultimately optional, defeating him opens the path to an underground area that is connected to some other questlines in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
