Where Is Lux Ruins in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Lux Ruins location
There are two routes to reach Lux Ruins

Lux Ruins is a small ruins located in the Altus Plateau. Players can find the Lux Ruins by going north from the Altus Plateau Site of Grace. Depending on how one enters the Altus Plateau, the path to the Lux Ruins can vary. Players entering the Altus Plateau using the Grand Lift of Dectus only need to head north to find the Altus Plateau grace site and then keep going in the same direction to reach the Lux Ruins.

For players who reach the Altus Plateau by beating Magma Wyrm Makar in Ruin-Strewn Precipice, the path to the Lux Ruins is a little different. After beating Magma Wyrm Makar, players will reach the Abandoned Coffin site of grace. From here, take the eastern path going uphill and run past the Ancient Dragon Lansseax to reach the Erdtree-Gazing Hill site of grace. The Lux Ruins is just south of this grace site, but it’s on top of a cliff. Players will have to go a little further south and then make a U-turn to reach the Lux Ruins.

Lux Ruins Walkthrough

Compared to most other ruins, Lux Ruins is quite small and populated with Demi-Human enemies. Tons of Demi-Humans are hidden all around Lux Ruins, waiting for unsuspecting players. If taken lightly, these enemies can overpower players due to their large numbers.

Elden Ring Demi-Human Queen Gilika

Upon entering Lux Ruins, continue heading inside to find stairs leading down to a boss fight. In Lux Ruins, players will face the Demi-Human Queen Gilika. While the boss may seem intimidating, she is quite fragile to all types of attacks, especially Fire and Slash.

When battling Demi-Human Queen Gilika, it is best to stand between her legs and attack them. Rolling towards or away from her is sufficient to avoid all her attacks. To make the fight easier, players can use attacks with high stance damage, such as Lion’s Claw, Flame of the Redmanes, or Rock Sling, to break her stance easily and score a critical hit.

Elden Ring Ritual Sword Talisman

After defeating Gilika, players can open the gate behind her to find the chest containing the Ritual Sword Talisman. Equip this talisman to get a 10% Attack boost right away, as long as the character’s health stays full. In addition to the Ritual Sword Talisman, players can also collect the Shield Crash ash of war during their exploration of Lux Ruins. This ash of war can be obtained by breaking the teardrop scarab found just outside the entrance to the boss room.

Once Demi-Human Queen Gilika is slain, exploring Lux Ruins becomes safe, as all Demi-Humans are now scared of you.

Where Is Rya in Lux Ruins

Many Elden Ring players come to Lux Ruins in search of Rya, as she promised to meet the Tarnished after they reach the Altus Plateau. Typically, Rya is found at the Grand Lift of Dectus, but this only occurs for players who use the Dectus Medallions to reach the Altus Plateau. Those who take the Ruin-Strewn Precipice route will find Rya at the lower part of Lux Ruins. Head a little south from Erdtree-Gazing Hill to find her standing beside a broken wall.
