Elden Ring is FromSoftware's most ambitious game to date, and its bosses live up to that title in sheer difficulty. Malenia, Blade of Miquella, is considered to be an especially hard boss to overcome - if not the hardest boss in FromSoftware history. Fortunately for gamers, the player 'Let Me Solo Her' has killed Malenia over 400 times, often in co-op, to help other Elden Ring players advance past her.

Let Me Solo Her became famous recently when other Elden Ring players began sharing stories and videos of him coming to help them against Malenia. The game allows players to summon others using "summon signs" left on the ground. Once a player is summoned, the two can work together until a dungeon is cleared, a boss is defeated, or someone dies.

Let Me Solo Her's summon sign is left outside Malenia's boss room, and his name is a clear offer for others to let him take on Malenia alone. This is very deliberate - according to a recent interview with IGN, he does this because he loves Malenia as a boss. However, he's also well aware of how unforgiving her fight can be, which is why he set out to prove to other players that she can be beaten. Specifically, she can be beaten about 400 times by a naked player character wearing a pot on his head.

Apparently, Let Me Solo Her has spent about 200 hours on his current character, which is level 179. He doesn't plan on leveling up any further, and his current load-out is a Rivers of Blood+9 and a Cold Uchigatana +25 with Hoarfrost Stomp. Additionally, he uses the Green Turtle, Viridian Amber Medallion, Kindred of Rot's Exultation, and Claw Talisman. He wears the pot on his head as a tribute to Iron Fist Alexander, a character he admires, and he stripped down to his underwear as a reference to an existing Soulsborne meme. Namely, that the naked players are always the strongest.

Despite this, Let Me Solo Her admitted that his record isn't perfect - sometimes there's too much lag for him to get the timing right. Malenia's waterfowl dance might be the hardest move to dodge in FromSoftware history, so the host lagging can have lethal results. He stated that he would like to apologize to everyone he has failed. Interestingly, Let Me Solo Her's mastery of the Malenia fight stems from his own struggle to overcome her. Apparently, it took him 242 attempts and two summons to beat her for the first time, inspiring him to help others get past the ordeal more easily.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
