There are a total of six legendary ashen remains in Elden Ring, and there is a trophy associated with collecting all of them. While players are likely to encounter some number of these Spirit Ashes as they explore the Lands Between, several of them are quite well hidden. Indeed, fans will need to access secret areas and make significant progress on an optional quest if they want to obtain all of Elden Ring's legendary ashen remains, and this guide is here to assist with that endeavor.

Elden Ring: Legendary Spirit Ash Locations

Lhutel the Headless

This Spirit Ash is earned upon defeating the Cemetery Shade at the bottom of Elden Ring's Tombsward Catacombs. The entrance to this dungeon can be found just north of the Minor Erdtree in the Weeping Peninsula, and it has been marked on the map that is above. Upon reaching the Tombsward Catacombs, players should search for a pillar that shoots fire, hit that pillar to lower it, and then ride the pillar up to the lever that grants access to the dungeon's boss room.

Redmane Knight Ogha

The first step toward obtaining this legendary ashen remain is to defeat Starscourge Radahn, the demigod at Castle Redmane in the southeast corner of Caelid. With Radahn slain, fans should travel northward, following the cliff that runs along the west side of the boss arena. Players will find the entrance to Elden Ring's War-Dead Catacombs just before that cliff reaches the body of water at the north end of the arena, and they will receive the Spirit Ash by defeating the Putrid Tree Spirit at the end of the dungeon.

Mimic Tear Ashes

After defeating Radahn, players will have the ability to travel to Nokron, Eternal City by way of a hole that opens in the ground to the south of East Limgrave's Mistwood. Upon reaching this underground area, fans should make their way to the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace and jump onto the rooftop to the south. The path forward from here, which leads through the Night's Sacred Ground, is fairly linear, and players will eventually find themselves on the upper floor of a church. There is a barrier that is dissipated by a Stonesward Key on the east side of this floor, and Elden Ring's Mimic Tear Ashes are in a chest just past it.

Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff

This is another legendary Spirit Ash that is obtained by defeating a boss at the end of a dungeon. Specifically, the boss is the Ancient Hero of Zamor, and they are found in the Sainted Hero's Grave to the west of Elden Ring's Leyndell, Royal Capital.

Black Knife Tiche

This is perhaps the most complicated legendary ashen remain to obtain, as it requires players to complete a significant portion of Ranni's questline in Elden Ring. Indeed, that questline eventually leads fans to a section of Liurnia that cannot be reached otherwise, and the Ringleader's Evergaol is in the northwest corner of that area. Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader is the enemy that players will find inside this evergaol, and defeating them rewards the Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ash.

Cleanrot Knight Finaly

For this final legendary ashen remain, players must make their way to Miquella's Haligtree in Elden Ring. In this area, fans should travel northeast from the Prayer Room Site of Grace, stopping when they reach a corpse with an item that is hanging over a banister. Players should now jump over this banister to reach a platform with a gazebo on it, enter the door on their left, and collect the Spirit Ash from the chest that is past the enemy just ahead.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
