The Elden Ring community has gone out of its way to make plenty of beloved figures from pop culture using the game’s character creator, and Marvel’s massive roster of heroes and villains is no exception. The latest custom character is Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, and the player who made him has ensured that he will be right at home within Elden Ring.

Assuming that this Redditor actually plays through the game while looking like Iron Man, they have a chance to stumble upon some other Marvel figures. For instance, one player has been going through PvP battles as Doctor Strange, dressing as the Sorcerer Supreme and using numerous incantations. As for co-op play, an Elden Ring fan has been role-playing as the Mad Titan Thanos, using nothing but the snap gesture once they have been summoned. As for this Tarnished version of Tony Stark, he looks prepared for any kind of fight.

Reddit user FilthyScavenger is responsible for the Iron Man character design, and they give fans a good look at Tony Stark outside his armor. FilthyScavenger nailed Iron Man’s facial features, with some nice touches on his forehead and under his eyes that show his age. Most importantly, Tony Stark’s distinct facial hair is present in the design, with the hair atop his head being a solid match as well. However, Iron Man is rarely seen without a suit, making it important for the Redditor to show their custom Elden Ring character wearing one.

With nothing as flashy as Iron Man’s red and gold costumes present within Elden Ring, FilthyScavenger had to get creative. Fortunately, they came up with a perfect strategy, as they recreated Tony Stark’s original Iron Man suit. With the Mk. 1 armor being extremely experimental and bulky, it is possible to pull off within the game. Further, its metallic gray color can be achieved using Iron Jar Aromatic. The Blackguard’s Iron Mask is a solid approach to a helmet, too, adding a lot to the overall aesthetic.

One of the coolest parts about the collage of images FilthyScavenger provides is that a few of them include some classic Iron Man poses. One shows the hero with their hand out, and the glowing palm makes it look like a repulsor is being used. Another shot shows Tony Stark wielding a flamethrower, which is an especially nice touch since this was a weapon he used while wearing the Mk. 1 suit in the original movie.

With other Marvel heroes like Spider-Man and Thor possible to make using the character creation tools, it will be interesting to see if players design them as well. Regardless, this version of Iron Man is a lot of fun, and FilthyScavenger is deserving of the praise they are getting thus far.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
