The Adula's Moonblade is a potent spell that allows Elden Ring players to swing a large Greatsword made of frost. Every swing sends a large frost wave to unsuspecting enemies, building up the Frostbite meters, and, eventually dealing a decent amount of damage.
Unfortunately, getting the Adula's Moonblade is complicated as Tarnished must complete a certain questline to obtain the spell. It requires defeating two Shardbearers and finding multiple NPCs in the vast world of the Lands Between. The following guide will help players get the Adula's Moonblade in Elden Ring.
How To Get The Adula's Moonblade In Elden Ring
To get the Adula's Moonblade Spell, Tarnished will have to fight Glintstone Dragon Adula in the Cathedral of Manus Celes. The cathedral can be accessed after reaching a certain step in Ranni's questline.
Required Steps In Ranni's Questline To Get The Adula's Moonblade In Elden Ring
Ranni, the Witch's questline is one of the longest side quests in Elden Ring. Here are the steps players need to complete in order to reach the Cathedral of Manus Celes:
- Meet with Ranni at the Church of Elleh
- Defeat Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor
- Head to Ranni's Rise in the Three Sisters
- Talk with Ranni and enter her service
- Find Blaidd, the Half-Wolf in Siofra River
- Meet Seluvis at Seluvis's Rise in the Three Sisters
- Give Sorceress Sellen Seluvis's Introduction in Waypoint Ruins
- Speak with Blaidd again
- Defeat General Radahn in Redmane Castle
- Travel to Nokron, the Eternal City
- Find Nokron's hidden treasure
- Give the treasure to Ranni and take the Carian Inverted Statue
- Use the Waygate in Renna's Rise to travel to Ainsel River Main
- Grab Miniature Ranni and speak with it three times
- Defeat Baleful Shadow in Nokstella, Eternal City
- Use the coffin in Grand Cloister to get to Astel, Naturalborn of the Void
Upon defeating the Elden Ring boss, players should walk forward and enter the Moonlight Altar.
How To Get To The Cathedral of Manus Celes In Elden Ring
After arriving at the Moonlight Altar, Tarnished should summon Torrent and ride northeast to get to the Cathedral of Manus Celes. The Glintstone Dragon Adula will appear near the cathedral's entrance. Players should try to activate the Site of Lost Grace inside the cathedral before killing the dragon. This will help players if they die while fighting Adula.
Once the dragon is dead, it'll drop three Dragon Hearts, 120,000 Runes, and most importantly, Adula's Moonblade. The Elden Ring Spell takes only one slot and requires 32 Intelligence.
Although the Glintstone Dragon Adula is first seen at the Three Sisters guarding Ranni's Rise, fighting it there is pointless since the dragon will disappear after reaching 50% HP and won't return.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
