For most who play it, Elden Ring has been a revelation. The massive open world title takes that familiar Souls-like formula, where towering bosses seemingly straddle the line of being unfair, and applies a way for players to farm and get stronger. While players can explore and farm to their hearts content, Elden Ring also features a class system with a number of different options to fit certain playstyles. However, the system is flexible enough that players are not locked in to a particular build, as they're able to level up and create more diversive builds as they get stronger.
While it's possible to turn a more warrior-centric class like the Hero and twist it into a mage, Elden Ring features a ton of loot to collect which further diversifies a player's build. Found through combat, exploration, and even quest rewards, players are free to customize their character not only for looks, but to help get stronger as well. Some weapons are seemingly more sought after than others, such as the incredibly strong Moonveil katana, but there are no shortage of guides for those who may want something a little different.
One such weapon is the Noble's Slender Sword, a weapon which has recently been getting a lot of attention. Some players even feel the Noble's Slender Sword may be the best sword in Elden Ring, making it highly sought after. For those wondering just what this weapon is, here's where to find it and what it does.
Where To Find the Noble's Slender Sword
Unlike some other weapons in Elden Ring, where players need to take down a powerful NPC boss or loot a chest at the end of a dungeon, the Noble's Slender Sword is a bit more straightforward to find.
Ultimately, players will want to hunt down wandering nobles around Limgrave as it has a very low chance to drop off of them. In addition, wandering nobles found in Raya Lucaria Academy also have a chance to drop it. In fact, there's a great farming spot at the Debate Parlor Grace in Raya Lucaria. After heading up the stairs and leaving the boss room, turning left will lead players to two nobles picking weeds, with more up the stairs. With each noble having a chance to drop the weapon, players simply need to reset at the Debate Parlor Site of Grace and keep running through this area until it drops. It's worth noting that the drop rate is extremely low, with many indicating that it's just a meager 0.5% chance to drop, so players may need to farm this route for a while.
What The Noble's Slender Sword Does
As one of the longest straight swords in the game, the Noble's Slender Sword has excellent reach, and it can fit with many builds as it scales with Strength and Dexterity. For most, the appeal of this weapon is going to be how easy it is to use, only needing 8 points in Strength and 11 in Dexterity. It can also be infused with Ashes of War as well as being buffed with Magic.
The sword also comes with a unique weapon skill called Square Off. Ultimately, Square Off has two modes with the first seeing the player hold the blade in a horizontal position that results in an upward slice. The second position costs more FP, but it results in a thrusting motion.
