During your journey in The Lands Between, you will encounter various weapons in Elden Ring. Fans of the Dark Souls series will be delighted to find classic weapons like claymores and katanas in FromSoft's highly successful open-world title. However, not all weapons belong to traditional medieval classes. There are several funky and ridiculous weapons in Elden Ring, such as the Rusted Anchor.

When thinking of Soulsborne games, many fans might imagine battling some eldritch horror while wielding a giant greatsword like Guts from Berserk. While plenty of horrifying enemies exist in The Lands Between, you don't necessarily need to be a classic swordsman to become the Elden Lord. The Rusted Anchor is one of the few weapons on the humorous side of Elden Ring. It is a giant, heavy, rusty anchor that scales highly with Strength.

Morne Tunnel is one of the early-game dungeons in Elden Ring. In this tunnel, players will mostly encounter misbegottens and miners. At the bottom, you will find a tunnel leading to the Scaly Misbegotten boss. This enemy's attacks are slow and easy to dodge, even for beginner Tarnished. Moreover, the Scaly Misbegotten has comparatively low poise, meaning heavy weapons with high stance damage can easily knock it out.

Is the Rusted Anchor Good or Not?

Elden Ring - Rusted Anchor

It may surprise some players, but the Rusted Anchor is a greataxe weapon in Elden Ring. Like all greataxes, it primarily scales with Strength and a bit with Dexterity. Being on the heavier side, the Rusted Anchor offers stance damage and high-poise movesets. Players can equip a high-poise armor set to use the Rusted Anchor without worry and use its incredible stance damage to bring enemies to their knees.

By default, the Rusted Anchor has the Barbaric Roar skill, which buffs and alters your strong attacks. However, you can also add new Ashes of War and change the affinity of the Rusted Anchor by using whetblades. Lion's Claw, Stormcaller, and Cragblade are some of the strong Ashes of War for the Rusted Anchor.

Overall, the Rusted Anchor is a good Strength weapon in Elden Ring and earns bonus points for its unique appearance. It is available in the Weeping Peninsula, so many early-game players can claim it.
