Throughout the Lands Between, numerous mentions arise of several other realms that once existed or remain inaccessible on the current map of Elden Ring. Even many NPCs encountered in the game originate from these outer regions, such as Bloody Finger Okina, who hails from the Land of Reeds, and Nepheli Loux from the Badlands, the land of warriors and the former home of Godfrey, the First Elden Lord. Another renowned region in Elden Ring, known for its warriors, is the Eochaid.

The realm of Eochaid is renowned for its warriors who possess the innate ability to wield weapons with the strength of their indomitable will. Players can witness their prowess by facing adversaries like the Bell Bearing hunters or Elemer of the Briar. Upon defeating the latter, players are rewarded with the Marais Executioner’s Blade, one of the legendary armaments. However, defeating it is no easy task, as his weapon’s movements are hard to dodge.

If obtaining the Marais Executioner’s Blade proves difficult, players can opt for the Regalia of Eochaid , a short sword variant of the same blade. This weapon features the same weapon skill, Eochaid’s Dancing Blade, and can be acquired relatively early and easily in Elden Ring.

Regalia of Eochaid Location

There are a couple ways to obtain the Regalia of Eochaid in Elden Ring. The straightforward and intended method to find this magical sword of Eochaid is by defeating the boss inside Gaol Cave in Caelid, which unlocks the entrance to the area with the Regalia of Eochaid.

Gaol Cave is located in the rotted lake next to Fort Gaol. To unlock this cave, you will have to insert two stonesword keys into the imp statue. As its name suggests, Gaol Cave is filled with cells containing burning Putrid Corpses. Head into this cave to eventually find a room with a level on the first. Pull this lever to open all cells. Go further into the cave in the south direction to find two Vulgar Militiamen guarding the entrance to a room. Inside this room, you will find two wooden barricades. Roll into the second barricade to reveal a hidden path leading to the Frenzied Duelist boss.

Elden Ring - Tunnel to Regalia of Eochaid

After defeating the Frenzied Duelist boss, do not take the exit right away. Instead, go through the small tunnel in the west to reach a small graveyard. On one of the gravestones, you will find the Regalia of Eochaid.

Shortcut Route to Regalia of Eochaid

Gaol Cave isn’t a particularly pleasant dungeon to deal with in Elden Ring. With the small and annoying Vulgan Militiamen along with exploding Putrid Corpses, be prepared for a struggle in Gaol Cave. However, you don’t need to traverse it to obtain the Regalia of Eochaid. There’s a shortcut route, but it requires you to be adept with your Torrent riding skills.

Teleport to the Third Church of Marika in east Limgrave and start heading towards the beach. Go to the southeast-most tip of the beach and then climb onto Torrent’s back. From here, you will have to attempt to use Torrent’s double-jump ability to climb the steep cliff. There are some groves on the cliff for Torrent to stand on. By sprinting and jumping, you can make it to the top of the cliff and then access the graveyard with the Regalia of Eochaid to the north. You may not be successful on the first attempt, but with a few tries, you will get there in no time. Is Regalia of Eochaid a good weapon?

Regalia of Eochaid is one of the few Arcane scaling weapons in Elden Ring. It requires a minimum of 18 Dexterity, 12 Strength, and 15 Arcane for the player to wield it. This weapon possesses the beautiful Eochaid’s Dancing Blade skill, unleashing the weapon as a spinning corkscrew into the enemy, inflicting multiple hits. While the weapon skill exhibits a red hue, it surprisingly lacks any blood loss bleed effect. Instead, the Regalia of Eochaid deals magic damage to enemies.

Being a short sword, Regalia of Eochaid has a fast moveset, especially when powerstancing with another short sword. There are many ways to increase the damage dealt by Regalia of Eochaid’s Ash of War. Players can drink the Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear and Thorny Cracked Tear to boost magic damage and damage from successive hits. Players can further enhance its damage by equipping Shard of Alexander, Magic Scorpion Charm, Millicent’s Prosthesis, and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia talismans.

Regalia of Eochaid’s only major downside is its range. Even though the skill hurls the weapon a little further, it can completely miss the enemies sometimes. Moreover, the skill animation takes a few seconds and leaves the wielder vulnerable. If you want a stronger version of this weapon, you will have to defeat Elemer in the Shaded Castle to obtain Marais Executioner’s Blade.
