Elden Ring boasts well over 100 different talismans, each bearing useful bonus effects ranging from stat boosts to certain damage buffs and more. Like weapons and spells, there are also some legendary talismans with incredible buffs, such as the Radagon Icon, which reduces spell-casting speed, and the Godfrey Icon, amplifying charged attacks and spells. While legendary talismans are worthy of their status, regular talismans are nothing to overlook.

Players can discover plenty of powerful talismans on their journey through the Lands Between. Most damage-boosting talismans come with some downsides, but a few, like Millicent's Prosthesis, a Dexterity-boosting talisman that also increases attack after successive attacks, have no negative effects.

Unfortunately, Millicent’s Prosthesis can only be obtained by progressing through Milicent's questline. However, players need to be careful during Milicent’s questline in Elden Ring. If completed, players will be rewarded with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, a better version of Millicent’s Prosthesis but without extra Dexterity points.

Elden Ring: Millicent's Prosthesis Talisman Location Guide

After Millicent reaches Erdtree-Gazing Hill in Altus Plateau in Elden Ring, players need to get her the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis to continue her questline. Then, head to Windmill Village north of Altus Plateau and defeat the Godskin Apostle boss to unlock the Windmill Heights grace site. Defeat Millicent at Windmill Heights to obtain Millicent’s Prosthesis in Elden Ring.

Millicent’s quest is one of the longest in Elden Ring, taking players from the Church of the Plague in Caelid to Miquella’s Haligtree in Consecrated Snowfield. Players who have never done Millicent’s questline might not know how to get Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman. Follow this step-by-step guide to progress Millicent’s quest and obtain the Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman:

1) Defeat Commander O'Neil in the Swamp of Aeonia

Elden Ring - Unalloyed Gold Needle

In the center of Caelid, players can find a vast Scarlet Rot swamp housing a tough boss, Commander O'Neil. He can call forth spirit summons to assist in the fight against the Tarnished. If his summoned knights aren't dangerous enough, his Scarlet Rot attacks can be lethal. Commander O'Neil can also be lured into the rotted swamp, inflicting him with the Scarlet Rot effect. After defeating Commander O'Neil, players will receive a halberd called Commander’s Standard and the Unalloyed Gold Needle.

2) Bring the Unalloyed Gold Needle to Gowry

Elden Ring - Repaired Unalloyed Gold Needle

Next, bring the Unalloyed Gold Needle to Gowry, located in a shack south of Sellia, Town of Sorcery. He will take the needle and ask you to return later. Reload the game, and talk to Gowry to claim the repaired needle.

3) Give the Needle to Millicent in the Church of the Plague

Now, locate Millicent in the Church of the Plague, just above the cliff east of Gowry’s Shack. Give her the repaired needle to stop her crying and whimpering. Talk with her until you exhaust all of her dialogues. Then, rest at the grace site, and she should have moved to Gowry’s Shack. Go there and exhaust all her dialogues to make her leave for Altus Plateau.

4) Find Millicent at Erdtree-Gazing Hill and Give Her Valkyrie's Prosthesis

Millicent can now be found north of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace site in Altus Plateau. Upon talking to her, she will express her desire to aid the Tarnished in battle. Head to the Shaded Castle in the north of Altus Plateau and find a chest guarded by a solo Cleanrot Knight on the fast west side of the Shaded Castle. Inside, you will find the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.

Go back to Millicent at Erdtree-Gazing Hill and give her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis. Exhaust all her dialogues to make her move to Windmill Village.

5) Beat Godskin Apostle at Dominula, Windmill Village

Elden Ring - Altus Second Location

From the Outer Wall Battleground grace site, follow the path north to find the Windmill Village, the home of Celebrants. Reach the top of Windmill Village to face the Godskin Apostle boss. Defeat the Godskin Apostle to unlock the Windmill Heights grace site. If the boss is too difficult, you can summon Millicent to help in the fight.

After defeating the boss, rest at the grace site, and Millicent will appear south of the grace site. She can now use the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis as her right hand. You can defeat Millicent to obtain the Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman.

What Does Millicent’s Prosthesis Talisman do?

Elden Ring - Millicent's Prosthesis

Millicent’s Prosthesis is a useful talisman for Dexterity builds in Elden Ring. It boosts the Tarnished’s Dexterity stat by 5 points and provides a notable attack buff when a nearby enemy is hit multiple times. The attack bonus depends on how many times you hit the enemy. After every three hits, Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman boosts the attack by 4%, followed by 6%, and finally by 11%.

It is a superior version of the Winged Sword Insignia found quite early in the game. Along with attack buffs from successive attacks, players also receive 5 Dexterity points, which can be helpful for low-level builds. Players planning to use the Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman are suggested to wield weapons with fast attacks, such as Claws, Straight Swords, Curved Swords, Twinblades, and so on. It also complements weapons with skills that hit multiple times, such as Hand of Malenia, Marais Executioner’s Sword, and Regalia of Eochaid.

The best part about Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman is that its buff stacks with the Winged Sword Insignia and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia variant talisman. For that reason, fast-attacking builds can become exceptionally strong in Elden Ring. Players can also equip the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom talisman to gain an additional five Dexterity points.
