In the Lands Between, Dragon Communion is the act of consuming the hearts of mortal dragons to gain their strength and is greatly shunned by some. Players can visit either the Dragon Communion Church in Limgrave or the Dragon Communion Cathedral in Caelid to learn the Dragon Communion incantations in Elden Ring. Moreover, Dragon Communion is one of the few incantation classes that have their own legendary spell called Greyoll’s Roar.

After slaying named dragons found in different corners of The Lands Between, players can unlock their strength in the form of incantations at Dragon Communion Cathedral. Where is Elder Dragon Greyoll

Elder Dragon Greyoll is the mother of all mortal dragons found in The Lands Between. Unfortunately, the aftermath of the battle between Malenia and Radahn forced her, along with all other dragons, to flee from Caelid and create a new nest in the northeast part of Caelid, now known as Dragonbarrow. Even after fleeing, Greyoll ended up getting infected by Scarlet Rot and now lies immobile in Dragonbarrow.

However, there is no need to ride your steed all the way to the east of Caelid to find Greyoll. Players can find a hidden waypoint teleporter behind bushes just a little north of the Third Church of Marika. This teleporter takes you to the Bestial Sanctum located far north of Caelid. After reaching Bestial Sanctum, head south and cross the Farum Greatbridge to reach a Minor Erdtree. Take the spiritspring jump behind the Minor Erdtree to reach Fort Faroth.

Elder Dragon Greyoll, though enormous, is surprisingly easy to defeat because she can't move. As a result of being immobile, players can sneak behind her back and use a weapon with Blood Loss buildup to slowly but surely kill her. Players who are up for a challenge can choose to fight five lesser dragons roaming in front of Greyoll. Defeating each lesser dragon will lower her health by 20%. After defeating all of them, you just need to hit Greyoll once to take her down. Once defeated, you will be rewarded with 50,000 runes, five dragon hearts, and unlock the Greyoll’s Roar incantation in Dragon Communion Cathedral.

After slaying the mother of all dragons, players can head to the Dragon Communion Cathedral, located in the southwest tip of Caelid. To get here, you just have to follow the path going south next to Rotview Balcony. Following this highway, you will reach the Dragon Communion Cathedral, which is guarded by the rotted dragon, Decaying Ekzykes. You can choose to confront him or race to the grace site inside the Dragon Communion Cathedral.

After entering the Dragon Communion Cathedral, interact with the altar in the middle to trade Greyoll’s Roar for three dragon hearts.

What does Greyoll’s Roar incantation do?

Greyoll’s Roar is an offensive AOE spell that also inflicts a debuff on surrounding enemies. Players can use Greyoll’s Roar to lower enemies’ attack by 15% and defense by 10% for the next 60 seconds. This debuff can stack with all other debuffs available in Elden Ring, making it a great utility spell for one-shot builds.

However, Greyoll’s Roar has a high FP cost, so players might need to invest some points into Mind. Being a Dragon Communion spell, Greyoll’s Roar can be boosted by the Dragon Communion Seal, Roar Medallion talisman, and Flock’s Canvas talisman.
