Progressing through Elden Ring, players will find dozens of unique weapons, but if your best base stats are Strength and Dexterity, Great Epee is one of the best choices for the early game. Being a powerful Heavy Thrusting Sword, this weapon has the Impaling Thrust skill, an excellent move that allows you to break through enemy defenses, causing good damage. But more importantly, Great Epee can be obtained in the first hours of the gameplay.

When exploring the starting location, players should head to the southernmost part of Limgrave. After all, the desired sword will humbly wait for seekers in a small chest in the enemy camp.

Where to Find Great Epee in Elden Ring

To find Great Epee in Elden Ring, players must travel to the southern part of Limgrave and reach a small enemy camp. The desired sword lies in a small chest near the yellow tent, and here's how to get there:

From anywhere in Limgrave, go south to a small fork where one road leads to Forlorn Hound Evergaol and the other to Bridge of Sacrifice.
A little north of this fork, you will find Agheel Lake South Site of Grace, which you must take as a starting point.
Next, go east, climbing up rocky terrain.
Soon, you will see the entrance to the enemy camp with several tents at the entrance.
Go to the yellow tent near the left wall and take the Great Epee from the chest.

However, note that the enemy camp will not be empty. As you approach the entrance, you will encounter decent resistance in the form of a couple of powerful ground enemies and two undead mages in higher positions. A good solution would be to destroy the undead as the first target so that you can calmly deal with melee enemies.

In terms of damage, this weapon deals exclusively with physical attacks, but this can be improved with Ashes of War or Smithing Stones. In addition, Great Epee has a good Impaling Thrust skill. This ability allows the player to make a long lunge that penetrates armor, which can be helpful when fighting armored opponents at various story stages.
