When starting your adventures in Elden Ring, you can get some good shields pretty quickly, and the Brass Shield is one of them. Offering 100% protection from physical damage and excellent cover from other types of attacks, the only downside to the Brass Shield is its heavy weight. Players with a Dexterity build will find the Brass Shield completely useless.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to find the Brass Shield in a specific location, as it drops from specific enemies. Also, the chance of success is relatively low, so be prepared to grind.

Where to Find the Brass Shield in Elden Ring

To obtain the Brass Shield in Elden Ring, players must find and defeat many Godrick Soldiers or Raya Lucaria Soldiers. At the same time, the chance of dropping the desired item is approximately 0.8%, so you must rely on luck and prepare for hours of grinding. Luckily, Raya Lucaria Soldiers are found throughout the Liurnia region, and Godrick Soldiers are common in the central and western parts of Limgrave. You can farm these soldiers as you progress through the game's story or visit some of the best places to accelerate the process:

If you're still in Limgrave, take one of the main roads west to the Gatefront Site of Grace. There are quite a few Godrick Soldiers around this place, so you can kill them, rest at the Site of Grace, and repeat the process.
As for Raya Lucaria Soldiers, you can find many of these enemies along the walls of Raya Lucaria Academy. Attack those enemies who carry the shield you need; this will give you a better chance of success than killing Godrick Soldiers.
