The oddly shaped small sword encrusted with blue feathers is an amulet that increases your chances of survival when you are near death.

The passive effect of this amulet reduces all damage taken by 50% when your HP drops below 20%. Of course, this is not the best buff, but it works great in low-hp builds. And if it is what you want, all you have to do is defeat the feathered boss.

This enemy only spawns at night, and to find it, players will have to go to the Stormhill area and visit the western part of Limgrave. As a starting point, take Warmaster's Shack, where you can pass the time until the desired time. After waiting until nightfall, go east past the Trolls and get to a small ancient stone platform. Once you climb onto it, a Deathbird will appear, and the battle will begin.

How to Beat Deathbird

When starting a battle with Deathbird, you should beware of its sharp beak and long fire poker. The boss has quite a few different attacks, but since they are relatively slow and predictable, a regular Rolling will help you avoid most of them. Since Deathbird is a field boss, the battle shouldn't pose too many problems. But we have a few tips that will help you avoid unnecessary damage and win faster:

Foremost, you cannot parry Deathbird's attacks, so don't even try.
This monster's weak point is its fractured skull, but it's not easy to hit. You will have to wait for the moment after the boss attacks or use ranged weapons.
If you are using a melee style, attack the boss immediately after it jumps to attack with a poker or after it opens a beak and attacks you. At this point, you will have the best opportunity to attack its head.
During combat, Deathbird deals Standard Physical, Pierce, and Magic damage. Additionally, this boss inflicts the Death Blight status effect. Avoid any attacks because you will die instantly once the status scale is filled.
Since this boss is Undead, it is especially vulnerable to Holy and Strike damage. At the same time, Pierce and Lightning-type attacks are not effective against this enemy, which will somewhat complicate the battle at a distance.
