While taking on Hoarah Loux, one Elden Ring player got a little too eager with the smack talk and was quickly humbled by the difficult boss. Being just one of the many challenging boss fights in Elden Ring, Hoarah Loux taught the gamer a valuable lesson in celebrating too early.

With FromSoftware games being notoriously difficult, Elden Ring quickly grew a reputation for being one of the most challenging action adventure RPGs one can play. The beloved fantasy title has been praised for its incredible combat mechanics, and the boss fights in particular can be an overwhelming fighting experience at first. However, after plenty of practice and leveling up one's character, players can eventually become a worthy opponent for the many enemies in Elden Ring. Although the game is known for its difficulty, some players can grow to be overly confident when facing a boss, and this can lead to hilarious circumstances that knock a player's ego down a peg.

A Reddit user who goes by the moniker OneHappyCinnabun on the platform experienced one of these humbling moments firsthand. While fighting against Hoarah Loux, the gamer was smack talking the infamous Elden Ring boss. While in the middle of calling the boss "Hoarah Loser", Hoarah Loux obliterated OneHappyCinnabun with an attack that killed their character in just a matter of seconds.

Although OneHappyCinnabun was incredibly confident in their ability, they took the defeat in stride, laughing at the absurdity of the situation. The attack that Hoarah Loux maneuvered was so over the top that it makes the circumstance even funnier. In OneHappyCinnabun's defense, they appeared to have been doing very well in the fight, so the confidence was warranted. However, it's always funny when Elden Ring catches players off guard. It serves as a great reminder of how when one thinks they've mastered a game, being overly confident can make some players put their guard down.

Despite the game being notorious for its difficulty at the beginning, Elden Ring is arguably one of the greatest combat experiences in gaming. The challenging nature of the fights give players a great sense of reward when bosses are finally defeated, but after leveling one's character up to the point of god-like power, it can become easy to forget about the game's challenges. It's incredibly common and normal for gamers to grow confident with a game they've spent hours with, but that just makes humbling experiences like this even more hilarious since so many gamers can relate.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
