The world of Elden Ring includes many secrets for players to discover as they make their way through the Lands Between. Much like in other FromSoftware games, many of the things in Elden Ring are not what they seem. This extends to weapons, armor sets, and even the spells. One such spell, the Heal spell, is capable of severely damaging some of Elden Ring's most dangerous opponents.
Within the Lands Between, there are multiple different areas and dozens of unique enemy types. Some of these enemies can be attacked using tools that players might not normally think to utilize. Aside from weapons and Elden Ring's Ashes of War, some foes can be defeated with spells that are typically only used for gaining health. These enemies include the revenants, which are quick, grotesque, and evocative of an undead centipede.
Reddit user SpoodsMcBeef recently posted a video to the Elden Ring subreddit detailing the death of a revenant at the hands of the Heal spell. The revenants, which can be found in and around Kingsrealm Ruins, are evil creatures that have a severe weakness to Faith. Because the Heal spell is based on Faith magic, they are no match for its effects. This can be incredibly useful to players with Faith-centered builds. The spell can also be used to kill the Royal Revenant boss that lurks in the area.
The Heal spell takes a few seconds to cast, but it seemingly stuns and deals massive damage to these enemies. In fact, the Royal Revenant can be killed with less than five heals. While these creatures aren't as hard to kill as some Elden Ring bosses, the ability to quickly dispose of them with heals is a welcome addition to the game. It is also fascinating to see that FromSoftware thought through some of the more complex aspects of the Lands Between.
Indeed, Elden Ring's amazingly detailed world continues to surprise players. From unexpected spell effects to the shocking difficulty of Elden Ring's New Game+7, there are so many entertaining elements of the Lands Between that players can find themselves lost in the game for hours on end. While there are many more mysteries to discover, it is safe to say that Elden Ring has solidified itself as yet another fantastic addition to the FromSoftware library. As time goes on, players can look forward to discovering new and exciting things in the epic world of Elden Ring.
