One keen-eyed Elden Ring player discovers an interesting detail about Godrick The Grafted, and his fingers. Elden Ring was launched in February and saw widespread critical and commercial appreciation from the beginning. Moreover, the FromSoftware title was recently nominated for the Game Of The Year award and is one of the front runners to win it, alongside God of War Ragnarok. Gamers love the wide expansive open world and the challenges it presents, including fearsome enemies and formidable bosses.

Many Elden Ring bosses have become household names in the gaming community, like Malenia - Blade of Miquella, Godfrey - The First Elden Lord, and Rennala - Queen of The Full Moon. Godrick The Grafted is another well-known boss whose popularity might not rival the ones mentioned above, but still has a sizable fan base. As his name suggests, Godrick grafts the body parts of his rivals after besting them on the battlefield. Now, one astute Elden Ring player has found an intriguing detail about Godrick and his body.

Reddit user lilBob1989 shared an image on the social media platform showing Godrick's hand. At first glance, everything could appear normal to an average viewer, but upon closer inspection, a tiny detail becomes visible. Surprisingly, the image shows Godrick's hand with six fingers instead of five, suggesting the developers intentionally designed it that way. Elden Ring's lore suggests Godrick grafts the body parts of his opponents to become stronger and more powerful. Many people in the Reddit community believe Godrick also grafted this additional sixth finger onto his hand, like other body parts.

While most people agreed Godrick's extra finger was grafted from one of his rivals, there was no consensus about which one. Some Reddit users also said that none of the fingers are actually his and that Godrick grafted all of them. Neither the developers nor the lore has mentioned anything about Godrick's fingers, causing fans to speculate. Looking at the rest of Godrick's body full of grafted parts, it wouldn't be surprising if the Elden Ring boss had grafted one or several fingers as well.

Even though Godrick The Grafted is the leader of the Stormveil Castle, he's not a mandatory boss, and players don't need to defeat him to progress in the story. He is the first demigod most gamers will encounter in Elden Ring and a descendant of Godfrey - The First Elden Lord. Some in-game characters like Kenneth Haight and Gideon believe he is the weakest demigod and unworthy to rule.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
