One Elden Ring player has had enough and decided to take on the first Elden Lord, Godfrey, by fighting him as Godfrey. Elden Ring's character customizer allows for players to really delve into their creative side, with plenty of options, sliders, and outfits to mold their character in the way that they see fit. There are many stories of players creating some of their favorite fictional characters, like one player who recreated Tyrion Lannister in Elden Ring. With freedom like this, some players have also decided to get into looking just like the very bosses they are facing, like Godfrey, First Elden Lord.

Godfrey, The First Elden Lord, is a boss players will encounter near the end of their Elden Ring playthrough, being the penultimate boss before the last actual fight with Radagon and the Elden Beast. Godfrey is a two-phase boss fight where the first phase involves him swinging around a heavy axe and using devastating stomp attacks to take down the player. However, it's when this phase is over that the real challenge begins, as Godfrey changes to his next phase, a boss known as Hoarah Loux, whose aggressive tendencies have been the downfall of many players.

It seems that it was Hoarah Loux that caused this specific player to dress up as the Elden Ring boss themselves. Posting to r/Eldenring, user felfazeebo uploaded a video of their fight with Godfrey and Hoarah Loux. In the video, they first come to the fight dressed as Godfrey, even wielding his axe. The first phase goes with relative ease, and then once the second phase begins, the player takes off their top and throws away the axe to take on Hoarah Loux with their fists, eventually defeating the boss using the Earthshaker Ash of War, ending the fight with a shout and stomp of their own.

In the comments, players spoke of their own experience with the two phase boss fight, with the poster themselves commenting that while Godfrey was easy for them, Hoarah Loux always was a painful fight. Considering Hoarah Loux has an attack that can grab multiple players at once, it's not a farfetched thing to say.

However, it seems replicating one's foes is the way to go when it comes to taking on the toughest bosses of Elden Ring, like when one player defeated Elden Ring's Malenia using her own attack against her. It's a creative way to try out different builds, that's for sure, so maybe players who are struggling should try this tactic and see how it turns out for them.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
