FromSoftware’s collection of notoriously difficult action RPGs may not be for everyone, but there’s no denying that they represent some of the most ambitious video game productions in recent memory. Elden Ring, the studio’s most recent effort, melds the intricately-detailed environments of previous titles with an open-world design to create a one-of-a-kind experience, but equally ambitious, as demonstrated by a handful of created Redditors, is Elden Ring’s character creator.

Every modern From Software RPG save for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice featured a character creator of some sort, but, while they allowed players to craft a slew of seriously hideous monstrosities, the option was often superfluous, as many builds required the use of head-to-toe armor that covered up whatever the player had crafted. That could still be the case for some players in Elden Ring, but, much like the dedicated The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim player who created a replica of the Wood Elf from the game’s loading screens, FromSoftware fans now have the ability to craft intricately-detailed characters inspired by beings both real and fictitious.

A great example of this comes from Reddit user u/NickDaGamer1998, who created an eerily accurate rendition of the GigaChad meme. For those out of the loop, this meme stems from a photoshoot featuring Russian model Ernest Khalimov, who became a sort of archetype for masculinity in the late 2010s. His oft-memed visage is almost as common on the Elden Ring subreddit as the beloved pot friend meme, and he’s often seen heralding some of the community’s silliest opinions.

The Reddit user’s recreation of the meme in Elden Ring must have taken quite some time, as it’s about as accurate to the actual photo as is conceivably possible. From the grayscale skin tone to the almost absurd jawline, anyone familiar with the GigaChad meme would instantly be able to understand who this is supposed to be. Elden Ring borrows the unique PvP invasion mechanics first seen in Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls, and woe upon thee who has the misfortune of facing off against this creation.

Elden Ring features 10 unique classes, and u/NickDaGamer1998 apparently felt that Bandit was the one that best suited GigaChad. However, stealth and ambush tactics don’t seem particularly befitting of a man most often associated with blunt bull-headedness. Though it may begin the game with the worst stats, Elden Ring's so-called "purposeless" Wretch seems like a more applicable class, as brazenly beating enemies with a wooden club feels more in keeping with the meme.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
