A dedicated Elden Ring fan has shared an impressive clay model featuring one of the game's most popular bosses known as Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. Despite being released over 2 years ago, FromSoftware's 2022 title maintained a sizable player base thanks to a vast, meticulously designed world, unique combat system, deep lore, and many other aspects of the game.

One of the key factors behind Elden Ring's popularity is its unique boss designs, which present a challenge to most players, regardless of their levels. The Lands Between features over 230 bosses, most of which are optional, which means that players don't need to beat them to progress in the main storyline.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree ESRB Description Appears Online

The Entertainment Software Rating Board releases its description for FromSoftware's hotly anticipated Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

A Reddit user named Ethirdes has shared a set of images that show a small clay model of one of Elden Ring's most challenging bosses, Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. The post got a lot of attention in the community as it reached over 2.4k upvotes with many comments praising the creator's patience and attention to detail. The model perfectly captures Astel's unsettling presence, from the skeletal face to the long limbs. This celestial skeleton boasts a long slender body which is in great contrast to its galaxy-like pattern that spreads from its head to the scorpion-like tail.

Ethirdes is known in the community for creating similar projects that often feature iconic characters from the Elden Ring universe. One of the images shows two Astels, which confirms that this is not the first time the Redditor tried to bring this Void boss to life. Some fans have suggested that to make the model look even more realistic, Ethirdes should put a tiny light or a reflective piece of material inside the skull.

Elden Ring: Where to Find Astel?

To get to Astel, players need to progress through Ranni's questline, which means that they need to defeat General Radahn of Caelid, Royal Knight Lorreta in Caria Manor, and collect the hidden treasure of Nokron, the Fingerslayer Blade. This will activate the Sending Gate to Ainsel River Main in Renna's Rise, and allow players to travel to the Eternal City Nokstella, located in the northern part of the river.

Killing the Baleful Shadow will allow entrance to the Lake of Rot. The only thing players have to do now is cross the swamp of rot and reach a temple where they can ride the coffin transport to Astel's lair. Astel's kit features over 10 different attacks, each more powerful than the previous one, which is why the recommended player level for this boss fight is 110 and above.
