Although Messmer himself is still an imposing figure in the artwork, there's no doubt that the presence of two small snakes in top hats makes him a little less scary. Everyone in the thread loved the piece, with one user even directing pizzaember04 to share their work with the SnakesWithHats subreddit - it certainly fits the bill.

A sequel is possible, but FromSoftware has yet to confirm its next project at the moment. Recently, George R.R. Martin commented on Elden Ring movie / TV adaptation rumors, and it seems plausible that the IP might next return in another medium entirely.
