Elden Ring’s rich fantasy world and striking character designs have inspired many pieces of fan art from its dedicated community of players. These pieces of fan art include intricate tableaus that represent Elden Ring’s entire world and story, but also more cartoony and stylized drawings that poke fun at a particular aspect of the game.

For all of Elden Ring’s serious environments and brutal boss fights, the game does lend itself well to an unexpected level of comedy. A lot of this comedy is found in Elden Ring’s characters and their designs, as most characters in the game will be loyal to some group or guild. These groups are so unique and specific that they will often have some bizarre visual quirk to their design, such as the Turtle Pope.

One of these uniquely designed groups is the Glintstone Sorcerers from Raya Lucaria Academy. These sorcerers wear large stone headpieces that denote which school of sorcery they are studying within the academy. These headpieces depict the faces of former revered members of the academy in Elden Ring’s lore, but at first glance, they do simply appear to have giant stone heads. Now a talented fan artist on Reddit named Maizilla has noticed that these large ornate heads give the Glintstone Sorcerers the same bodily proportions as the characters from the classic 1960s cartoon, The Flintstones.

Maizilla’s drawing shows one of the Glintstone Sorcerers wearing the Karolos Glintstone Crown, but drawn to the proportions and style of Fred Flintstone, from the iconic cartoon series. The fan art also includes an Elden Ring side quest character named Sellen, who wears the unique Witch’s Glintstone Crown. Sellen has also been reimagined in the style of Wilma Flintstone.

Maizilla’s art is able to make the funny comparison perfectly clear as both characters are instantly recognizable as Fred and Wilma Flintstone, but what is even more impressive is how many details are kept from the original Glintstone Sorcerers' designs. The stone crown's hairstyles haven't been altered, and usually this would make or break how recognizable stylized cartoon characters like The Flintstones would be. The Glintstone Sorcerers’ unique stone-headed design has made them the subject of jokes before from the Elden Ring community, but perhaps none as witty and well executed as “Meet the Glintstones.”

The comments under the post quickly put together Elden Ring themed lyrics to fit The Flintstones' iconic opening theme, and one commenter stated they would like to see Elden Ring's Elden Beast boss fight recreated as The Flintstones’ pet Dino, and Maizilla quickly fulfilled this request.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
