An Elden Ring invader has opted out of the typical slaughter that PvP fosters, choosing to introduce a food delivery service for the starving Tarnished they come across. This is not the first helpful denizen to grace Elden Ring, with many players having already garnered fame for their benevolent actions and contributions to the shattered world.

FromSoftware titles, especially those under the moniker of Soulsborne, have a storied past with PvP, with community sentiment towards the competitive system subject to wild deviation the moment a single weapon is altered, or an exploit is discovered that renders skill redundant. However, there have been occasions where, amidst the gankers, the one-shots, and the hackers, Elden Ring players have found their charitable niche, bearing items and a degree of humanity for those they invade.

In a video uploaded to Reddit by u/RedRanger775, an invader adorning the Bandit Garb and Boots is seen entering another world near the start of Crumbling Farum Azula. Equipped with the Furled Finger's Trick Mirror to appear like the host, they immediately perform the Casual Greeting emote and begin to walk forward in a cautious manner. The host and their ally notice that this is an unorthodox invasion and play along, responding with welcoming emotes of their own. Opening their inventory, the invader proceeds to leave Boiled Crab on the ground, a consumable in Elden Ring which increases physical damage reduction by approximately 17%.

A comment authored by the invader made it known that they had named their character Doordash, adopting the title of an American food ordering and delivery company, with the intention of invading, dropping Boiled Crab for the host, and then leaving with no further ado. They failed to drop the items several times following incorrect inputs, but explained this particular invasion was done at two in the morning, which prompted jokes that Doordash employees were being pushed too far in the Lands Between. The wholesome exchange resulted with generous tips, including a Golden Rune (7) and a Hero's Rune (5), before concluding with a bow and swift Finger Severer to return home.

For anyone wishing to join the Lands Between delivery retinue, employment requires the aforementioned Bandit armor pieces, and access to Boiled Crab, which is achieved by completing the quest for Blackguard Big Boggart. In a world ruined by the demigods, as well as the player depending on the ending, it is a silver lining to know there are still some transporting delicacies to the undying inhabitants of Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
