One of the most important figures in Elden Ring's lore, and a figure we never actually meet or see in the base game, is St. Trina. Often theorized to be Miquella's other half in the same vein as Marika and Radagon, St. Trina is seen as a savior to some and the God of Sleep to most. While Miquella is the male half, St. Trina is the female half.

All New DLC Weapons in Shadow of the Erdtree

There are more than a hundred Shadow of the Erdtree new weapons, many of which belong to one of eight completely new weapon types.

In Shadow of the Erdtree, St. Trina becomes a character that the Tarnished can actually interact with, but getting to her location is almost as much of a trial as completing the new St. Trina quest. Shadow of the Erdtree players can follow this guide to understand exactly how to get to the Garden of Deep Purple, how to speak with St. Trina, and what you must do to complete St. Trina's quest in the Elden Ring DLC.

How To Get To St. Trina In Shadow of the Erdtree

Reach The Garden of Deep Purple, Hidden Deep Below The Cerulean Coast

Shadow of the Erdtree St Trina Questline Stone Coffin Fissure Deep Velvet Garden Location

St. Trina is found practically a world away from the beginning of the DLC, in a hidden zone below a hidden zone behind secret entrances that can only be accessed via a secret path. She's quite tucked away indeed, perhaps befitting the God of being tucked in.

Finding The Cerulean Coast

To reach St. Trina's location, head southwest from the Castle Front site of grace outside Castle Ensis, but don't climb up the mountain toward the Suppression Pillar. Instead, take the lower path, and you should find a route thatloops around leading east as you continue to descend through the DLC's layers.

You should reach the Ellac River Cave site of grace after looping around this path. From here, walk forward, then head south to eventually reach the Ellac River Downstream site of grace. You will have to platform on Torrent to make it down the stone cliffs that lead further south.

Eventually, you will come to a waterfall with a large stone pillar fallen in front of it. Climb down to this pillar to reach the riverbed, and continue southeast until you see a Furnace Golem in the distance. Ride around it, and jump to avoid its gigantic stomp attack, while heading further south. In the southwest of the large area with the Furnace Golem, on the opposite side of the Ellac River, you will see a path leading further southwest. Take this path to find the Cerulean Coast.

Accessing the Stone Coffin Fissure

Deep in the southwest of the Cerulean Coast you will find a peninsula that leads to an enormous hole in the ground. If you look carefully down this hole, you will see a platforming path that leads downward. Continue down this path until you reach the first Stone Coffin Fissure site of grace. The path forward will be blocked if you have not reached the Shadow Keep and received the message "A Great Rune Has Been Broken..."

Every NPC Questline in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

There are fourteen new NPC questlines in Shadow of the Erdtree, but it's not too hard to find most of these new DLC quest start locations.

The Stone Coffin Fissure is absolutely rife with enemies and especially Gravebirds, Misbegotten, and even the Evergaol stone ball enemies (which have a new ranged attack). Watch out for these enemies as you continue further and further downward, so impossibly deep you may wonder if you've gone the wrong way.

Eventually, you will reach a Site of Grace surrounded by critters with a stairway that leads toward what looks like a dead end. Speak with the Spirit here to learn that you must "fly" to St. Trina's side.

The Garden of Deep Purple & The Putrescent Knight

This is not a dead end. In fact, you have to go even deeper into the Stone Coffin Fissure – by jumping off the horned head that leans over a chasm near this site of grace. Leap into the depths to reach a boss arena far, far below the Realm of Shadow. Here, you will face off against the Remembrance boss Putrescent Knight, a kind of formation of the death deeping out of the Coffins that have washed up here, given form and purpose by being so close to the influence of St. Trina.

The Putrescent Knight will spawn after you go deeper into the room, eerily riding out from a corner of the boss arena from a distance. Defeat the Putrescent Knight, and look for the site of grace that spawns in the boss room. From the Garden of Deep Purple site of grace, look for a cave that leads to the Garden of Deep Purple itself.

This cave is located where the Putrescent Knight rode out to meet you, but it's important to light the site of grace that spawns after beating the boss instead of just going straight into the Garden of Deep Purple You will need a nearby spawn point for this next St. Trina quest step, and it's annoying to run and drop back to the boss arena from the site of grace above if you forget to touch this grace in your haste.

Enter this cave to find the Garden of Deep Purple and St. Trina herself – or at least, what remains of her, and what these remains have transformed into in their abandonment.

How To Talk To St. Trina

Imbibe Nectar To Unlock New St. Trina Dialogue

Shadow of the Erdtree St Trina Questline Talk To St Trina Imbibe Nectar Dialogue

Indeed, St. Trina is Miquella's other half, and was discarded along with everything that tied Miquella to the greater will, and parts of himself he deemed obstacles to attaining Godhood. Down here in the Garden of Deep Purple, you can meet the visually stunning, flowing flowery form that St. Trina takes down here. But when you talk to St. Trina, she doesn't say anything.

After the initial "..." dialogue passes, you will receive the choice to Imbibe Nectar. Choose this option to kneel down, take the Nectar from St. Trina, and drink it. You will die moments later, and respawn at the Garden of Deep Purple site of grace just outside.

This is not an inconsequential interaction, though. As is a trope in FromSoftware's NPC quest design, you must exhaust all of St. Trina's "dialogue" to continue her quest. In this case, that means you must Imbibe Nectar two more times, and die two more times.

The second time you die, you will respawn immediately as before. But the third time you choose to Imbibe Nectar, the death fade-out will be much slower. After entering an Eternal Sleep by taking St. Trina's nectar three times, you will be able to speak with St. Trina, but briefly. St. Trina has a handful of lines of dialogue, but will only say two or three lines at a time. You need to Imbibe Nectar three more times (for a total of five times) to fully hear St. Trina's request.

You can progress Thiollier's quest after you discover St. Trina's location, and after hearing St. Trina talk to you.

Shadow of the Erdtree St Trina Questline Complete Grant Him Forgiveness Kill Miquella Request

After you Imbibe Nectar three more times, St. Trina's quest objective should be clear – you have to kill Miquella, to save him from himself, and to save him from being a trapped God. After you receive the third dialogue interaction with St. Trina, the God of Sleep will have nothing else new to tell you until you finish her quest. To kill Miquella, you must finish the DLC by beating the final boss in Enir-Ilim.

After you complete St. Trina's quest, go back to the Garden of Deep Purple. St. Trina will still be there, but you should see a purple item on the ground in front of her flowered form. Pick this up to get the St. Trina's Blossom helm, which has really high Vitality and Focus and boosts max FP when worn. Plus, it makes you look like you're wearing a beautiful purple flower on your head.

By killing Miquella, and returning to the Garden of Deep Purple, you will have completed St. Trina's quest in Shadow of the Erdtree. Remember to progress Thiollier's quest at the same time to be able to summon him against the final and penultimate boss fights in Enir-Ilim.
