This event leads to many changes in the world around you, especially among Miquella’s followers. So, it’s better to visit to check their new dialogues. Somewhere A Great Rune Has Broken Meaning In Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

After getting the Great Rune has broken notification in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you’ll notice that many of Miquella’s followers change their behavior and beliefs. Talking to them may clarify their intentions now after the Great Rune is broken, but it may also cloud your judgment even further while progressing their questlines in Elden Ring. The next list will contain some minor spoilers while going over the changes that occur after hearing the Great Rune breaking in Elden Ring SotE DLC

Stone Coffin Fissure

While exploring the southern shores, you’ll come across a cave sealed and obscured by Miquella. After the Great Rune breaks, the seal keeping you from entering the Stone Coffin Fissure will also break. In this cave, you’ll be able to progress St. Trina and Thiollier's questlines.

Thiollier

Thiollier remembers St. Trina and shares that he would sacrifice everything just to gaze upon her one last time. You can tell him where she is, and he will go there to meet her. There, he will look poisoned and ill, wishing that soon he would fall into an eternal slumber just to hear her voice.

You can pass on her words to him, which will get him mad, and declare he’s the chosen, not you. He will then threaten you if you utter those words again, which is what you will definitely do. After doing so, rest at the Site of Lost Grace outside and he will invade you. You can find Thiollier dying next to St. Trina after he invades you, regretting his entire life, begging you to tell the truth. Passing on St. Trina's words again would get him mad and desperate to hear her voice.

Freyja

There’s not much known about Freyja at this point, as she has just moved to the Shadow Keep. She’s apparently trying to find something there while regretting not asking Ansbach to impart his knowledge when she had the chance.

Hornsent

Hornsent wasn’t kind from the start to Marika and her offspring, yet, somehow he was one of Miquella's followers. After the Great Rune Break, you quickly learn from Hornsent that they were under Miquella’s spell. Without being influenced by the spell, Hornsent still somewhat believes in Miquella while his desire for vengeance ignites, setting his next target to be Messmer, the Impaler.

Needle Knight Leda

Leda feels that Miquella’s enchantment has been broken, but quickly announces her devotion to Miquella remains unchanged. However, she’s not sure about the others. This gives her the idea of wielding her sword against the undeserving, giving you the option to suggest one of them. Here, you have three choices:

  1. Suggest Thiollier
  2. Suggest the Hornsent
  3. Make no suggestion

If you suggest Thiollier, she will not consider him to be threatening. If you make no suggestion or choose the Hornsent, she will go after him since she’s concerned he might take down Miquella. Eventually, as you explore further into the Shadow Keep, you’ll find both the Needle Knight Leda and the Hornsent’s Summon Signs next to each other. You can choose to either help Leda or Hornsent.

Moore

Moore shares that he doesn’t feel Miquella’s light while stating he’s sad because of Leda’s recent actions. Here you have three choices:

  1. Put it behind you.
  2. Remain sad forever.
  3. I don’t know.

The third option is considered not choosing as Moore will keep asking what to do, and you’ll keep getting the same choices. Eventually, the results of the first or second choices can only be witnessed towards the end of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring.
