In Elden Ring, a build isn’t fully complete until you choose the right talismans to add the final touches. With the release of Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the game’s talisman count now stands at a whopping 150+ talismans. In the expansion, players can find more unique talismans that cater to special builds. For instance, the Aged One’s Exultation talisman increases attack power when triggering madness in the vicinity.

To find the Aged One’s Exultation talisman, you must head deep into the Abyssal woods, and kill a specific Aging Untouchable. Let’s find out how to locate this specific enemy and the strategies involved in defeating it.

To get to the Aged One’s Exultation, you must reach the Abyssal Woods, which is a secret area accessible from within the Shadow Keep. It’s recommended that you carry along a shield or a dagger with the Ash of War: Parry . Shields like the Buckler, and Ashes of War like Ash of War: Golden Parry and Ash of War: Carian Retaliation , are excellent choices.

Explore the Abyssal Woods and discover the Woodland Trail Site of Grace, and from here you can begin your journey to find the Aging Untouchable. Travel south from the Woodland Trail Site of Grace, and keep heading down the path until you see the road turning to the east.

Instead of going along the path, turn right, and travel a short distance west to find an Aged Untouchable patrolling in a small patch of water. While there are multiple Aging Untouchables in the Abyssal Woods, only one of them drops the coveted talisman, and that’s where you’re headed.

If the Aging Untouchable isn’t facing your direction, crouch in the nearby grass and close the distance between yourself and the enemy. And, once you’re close enough, prepare for battle. Note that the Aging Untouchable doesn’t take damage unless you first break its guard with a parry.

Parrying The Aging Untouchable

If the Aging Untouchable notices you, it will first cause your madness gauge to build up, and then lunge at you with a melee attack. After the melee attack, the Aging Untouchable will raise its staff over its head, which is an indication of a grab attack. This is your cue for a parry.

A successful parry will stagger the Untouchable, allowing you to follow up with a critical hit. You can now finish off the enemy with normal attacks, and acquire the Aged One’s Exultation talisman.
