With just days until FromSoftware rolls out its highly anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring, the studio has officially shared release times for the DLC, as well as the specifications needed to run the expansion on PC platforms. Shadow of the Erdtree releases on June 21, 2024, and is poised to be one of this year's biggest gaming releases, offering Elden Ring players the chance to step back into the world of The Lands Between, as well as new, uncharted areas.

Elden Ring was released in early 2022 and quickly became the crown jewel in developer FromSoftware's collection of games. Elden Ring acted as the culmination of everything learned and achieved in previous FromSoftware games, which include Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, the Dark Souls trilogy, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Upon release, the game was met with praise for its detailed open world, incredible enemy variety, and challenging bosses, with certain foes like Elden Ring's Malenia being considered the studio's most challenging yet.

FromSoftware, alongside publisher Bandai Namco, released the official Shadow of the Erdtree trailer earlier this year, revealing the Elden Ring expansion will come equipped with new weapons, items, and most importantly, new enemies and bosses.
