Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree adds to the base game in almost every single way possible. New weapons, talismans, armor, spells, ashes of war, and even recipes are on the table.

The Spinning Gravity Thrust is a brand-new Ash of War added with the DLC that, by default, comes equipped on a boss weapon. Players will be able to unequip it and put it on any armament of their choice after obtaining the base weapon. Here’s how to get it.

Ash of War: Spinning Gravity Thrust – Overview & Weapon Types

Spinning Gravity Thrust: A gravity skill honed by the disciples of an Alabaster Lord. Uses gravitational power to hang in the air before rotating the body and charging forward. An additional input allows for a follow-up attack.

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Spinning Gravity Thrust is a new Ash of War that grants its equipped weapon the heavy affinity (despite the pretty purple lights). The Ash of War: Spinning Gravity Thrust weapon types include:

  • Greatsword
  • Colossal Sword
  • Heavy Thrusting Sword
  • Curved Greatsword

When used, Spinning Gravity Thrust lifts the character into the air infusing them purple lightning and dive bombs at the locked-on target (if any) traveling a medium distance. The skill can be chained by tapping the skill button again to perform another diving attack. Both attacks hit multiple times.

Spinning Gravity Thrust has a Heavy affinity, making it particularly suitable for weapons like the Greatsword , giving players a way to close the distance with a nimble enemy while wielding a slow weapon. The skill also has a decent amount of hyper armor, preventing players from being knocked out mid-animation. The AoW also hits multiple times, proccing multi-hit talismans like the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia on hits.

Ash of War: Spinning Gravity Thrust costs 26 FP to use, and 12 FP to follow up with another attack. This Ash of War cannot be charged to increase its power.

Where To Find Ash of War: Spinning Gravity Thrust Location

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Spinning Gravity Thrust Ash of War can be obtained by giving the Remembrance of the Wild Boar Rider to Enia, the Finger Reader at Roundtable Hold .

The Remembrance is a reward for defeating Commander Gaius in Scaduview, just after the Storehouse, Back Gate Site of Grace. When you give Enia the Remembrance, you’ll get to choose between the weapon Sword Lance and the Sorcery Blades of Stone . Choose the Sword Lance, as the Spinning Gravity Thrust comes equipped on this weapon. Once you have it in your inventory, rest at any Site of Grace, choose Ash of War, and put it on any eligible weapon you like. It will be removed from the Sword Lance and applied to the new weapon.

The Sword Lance ’s moveset is lackluster without the Spinning Gravity Thrust, and it’s recommended you switch to a better weapon to use this Ash of War.
