Elden Ring is a fantastic single-player adventure, but it can be even more entertaining in a group. Thankfully, From Software added a multiplayer element that allows players to join their friends for cooperative play. Those that are looking to help their buddies take down an imposing boss or explore a particularly difficult area will likely want to do everything in their power to help their allies. Thankfully, there are some items strewn throughout the Lands Between that are built for cooperative play.

One of the coolest is the Deathbed Dress, an armor piece that will allow players to heal their allies just by being near them. Those that want the Deathbed Dress for themselves will have to travel deep into a particularly difficult area. Here's where to find the Deathbed Dress in Elden Ring.

How To Find The Deathbed Dress In Elden Ring

Elden Ring Leyndell Royal Capital

Finding the Deathbed Dress is fairly simple once players have unlocked a particular Site of Grace. Unfortunately, getting to that Site of Grace is easier said than done, as it's locked deep within one of the hardest zones in Elden Ring. The Deathbed Dress is found far within Leyndell, Royal Capital, an area accessed once players make it to the Altus Plateau. The easiest route is to piece together the Dectus Medallion and ride the Grand Lift of Dectus. Once at the top, players can head Northeast to a massive wall surrounding the city.

Unfortunately, getting into the city is easier said than done. The main gate is locked, and the best way in is to defeat the Draconic Tree Sentinel that guards a side entrance (Northeast from the main entrance). This is a rather imposing boss and can be difficult for players that aren't adequately leveled. It's recommended to fight it on horseback, but dodging its lightning attacks may take some practice.

Once the Draconic Tree Sentinel falls, players can enter Leyndell, Royal Capital and progress through the massive area until they reach the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. From the Avenue Balcony, players will want to head into the archway on the left and then take another left to head down the long roadway before them. Near the end of this roadway, players will spot an area veering off to the left with a large fountain in the center of it. Players should hop down the small stairs and head into the open door to the left of the fountain to find an elevator inside a small room. Taking the elevator down (or jumping, it's a safe distance) will put players in a graveyard area.

From the elevator room, players should head straight towards the large archway in the distance. On the way to the arch, they'll be a long staircase that goes down between two buildings on the right-hand side. At the bottom of this staircase is a non-aggro enemy that's kneeling with its hands raised to the sky. Moving to the left of this enemy, players will see an open doorway. Heading inside the room and through the other side of it, players should spot a ladder on the left-hand side. By climbing the ladder, players will spot a small church with a Site of Grace inside the doorway. Inside this church, to the left of the Site of Grace, is a bed with two items on it. The first is Lionel's full set of armor, which gives players a massive boost to their armor but slows them down dramatically. The second is the Deathbed Dress.

What Does The Deathbed Dress Do?

Elden Ring Deathbed Dress Worn

The Deathbed Dress is a piece of torso armor that comes paired with an AOE healing effect. There is only one piece (just the torso), and it offers fairly bad stats in terms of physical protection. The tradeoff is that it heals any allies around the wearer (it will not heal the wearer, however) and offers solid protection again elements. It also has a high Vitality and a solid amount of Focus. The HP regen may be slow, but the Deathbed Dress can be quite the boon for a team of players, especially in PVP situations where fights can last a bit, or during imposing bosses that have a ton of health.

Players that understand how fragile the armor makes them, and how to stay at range while simultaneously offering healing to their allies can really benefit from the chest piece. This is a great addition for anyone that's looking to provide healing, buffs, and support for their allies.
