One Elden Ring player has found a simple and consistent way to counter one of the most notorious attacks of an equally notorious boss, the Godskin Noble. Even more than a year since its release, the bosses of Elden Ring are still giving new and veteran players a lot of trouble.

Elden Ring, and indeed all of From Software's Soulslike games, has always given players a seemingly endless toolkit to choose from when dispatching bosses, but players still often have trouble. For example, it can seem like Elden Ring's Godskin Noble just doesn't stop rolling, and that particular move has proven tricky for many. Creative Tarnished have long been trying out different methods for dealing with the troublesome attack.

Reddit user PalpitationWitty8195 has shared a really consistent and easy method for dealing with this move. After the Godskin Noble transitions to its second phase, it will leap into the air before rolling forwards and dealing huge damage with its massive bulk. In the fight against the Godskin Duo in the Dragon Temple of Crumbling Farum Azula, the new method involves standing on top of the base of a crumbled pillar and using the Spinning Strikes Ash of War as the Godskin Noble hurtles forwards. The pillar will prevent the boss's attack from hitting, and the range of the Ash of War gives plenty of room to get a lot of good hits in while it continues to roll.

The Godskin Noble is a boss that players encounter a number of times throughout the Lands Between. This method works best in the encounter at Farum Azula, where the pillar base is there to stand on, which stops the Godskin Noble in its tracks. But in most encounters, there is usually something to get the boss stuck on so that Spinning Strikes can be employed during the attack. The pillars in the Temple of Eiglay in Volcano Manor, for example, also make this method viable. Otherwise, avoiding the attack is far from easy, causing tragic deaths for Elden Ring players even with the aid of Torrent.

Spinning Strikes has often been used by Elden Ring players looking for an easier method of dealing with bosses. It's easy to obtain fairly early in the game, and with a highly upgraded weapon. One NPC, located at the peak of Castle Morne, drops a +8 Banished Knight's Halberd either when killed at this location or at the end of Castellan Edgar's questline in Elden Ring. The Ash of War, even when used without FP, is extremely effective against many early game bosses. Some might consider this a "cheese" method, but many players have found the rolling attack of the Godskin Noble to be virtually impossible to consistently deal with. While it's still important to keep an eye on what the accompanying Godskin Apostle might do during the spin attack, this is definitely an excellent method for countering the notorious move.
