Elden Ring's PVP has always been a huge part of its gameplay for many players, and the recent update 1.08 added the long-awaited Colosseum DLC, which adds an entirely new variety of PVP to the game. The new Colosseum areas allow players to engage in formal PVP challenges against other players, with each of the three Colosseums offering a different set of battle modes.

Elden Ring's Colosseums have towered over several sections of the world map since the game's launch, but up until now, they have been inaccessible, serving as the source of much speculation from the community as to their purpose. Thanks to the new DLC, this has changed, and the Colosseum doors can now be opened by the Tarnished to gain access to lobbies where they can queue for Arena PVP.

Limgrave Colosseum Location

Elden Ring 3 challenge for Colosseum Fight

The Colosseum in Limgrave is the first opportunity players have to participate in the new PVP modes. It can be found in the northern section of Limgrave and is most easily accessed by heading to the Warmaster's Shack Site of Grace and heading north through the woods under the great bridge. On a first visit, players will be invaded when approaching the Colosseum, so taking out Recusant Henricus will be necessary to make this trip smoother.

In Limgrave Colosseum, players can participate in United Combat, a team versus match with respawns enabled where players compete to rack up the most points. Players can also engage in Combat Ordeal here, which is a free-for-all with otherwise identical rules to United Combat.

Caelid Colosseum Location

The second accessible Colosseum is considerably harder to reach, as it is located in the infected hellscape known as Caelid. In order to reach it, players will actually need to travel through the Siofra River, accessible from the Well in East Limgrave, and use a Swordstone Key to activate the lift at the far side of Siofra River.

This allows players to reach the Deep Siofra River Well Site of Grace. From here, it's a ride north through the giant archer constructs and past the Great Jar to reach Caelid Colosseum.

In Caelid Colosseum, players can engage in both varieties of combat from Limgrave Colosseum and also Duels. Duels are one-on-one combat encounters against another player. Additionally, Caelid Colosseum has the option of enabling Spirit Ashes for added chaos.

Royal Colosseum Location

Elden Ring Colosseum teamfight

Accessible in Leyndell, the Royal Colosseum sits near the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace, which is somewhere players will have to visit in order to finish the game. Climb down the roots and drop onto the path, then head up to the Colosseum. The Royal Colosseum exclusively hosts duels and does not allow Spirit Ashes, so it's ideal for players who enjoy one-on-one combat.

Elden Ring is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
