There are several weapons in Elden Ring that grant Runes on successful hits. They are the Celebrant's Cleaver, the Celebrant's Rib-Rake, the Celebrant's Sickle, and the Celebrant's Skull, and they can be used to provide a very small boost to Rune acquisition. For those players that would like to know more about the Celebrant weapons in Elden Ring, details on where they come from and how they work can be found in this guide.

Elden Ring: How to Get Celebrant Weapons

Players that are on the hunt for Celebrant weapons should turn their attention to the Windmill Village on the northside of Altus Plateau. The precise position of this location has been marked on the map that is below, and Elden Ring fans will find a variety of Celebrant enemies at it. These foes have a small chance to drop the Celebrant's Cleaver (Req.: Str 12 Dex 8), Rib-Rake (Req.: Str 8 Dex 14), and Sickle (Req.: Str 6 Dex 11), and players should make sure to equip the Silver Scarab talisman and use Silver-Pickled Fowl Feet to boost their discovery stat before farming them.

Alternatively, players can set their sights on the Celebrant's Skull, which is looted from a corpse on the cliff just northeast of the Windmill Village Site of Grace in Elden Ring. Again, this position has been marked on the following map, and the Skull is certainly much easier to obtain than the other three weapons. That said, its 18 strength and 12 dexterity requirements mean that it will not be suitable for every stat configuration.

Elden Ring: How to Use Celebrant Weapons

The way that Celebrant weapons function is quite straightforward, as they simply provide a set amount of Runes every time that they come into contact with an NPC. That amount is 10 Runes for every hit with the Cleaver, Rib-Rake, or Sickle and 20 Runes for every hit with the Skull. While those are not significant quantities, the extra Runes can add up, especially if the weapons are left un-upgraded in order to maximize the number of hits that are required to slay an enemy in Elden Ring.

To note, there is an inert NPC named Primeval Sorcerer Azur just north of the Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir, and the route to them can be seen on the map that is above. This NPC can be repeatedly struck without any repercussions, and indeed every hit that is landed against them with a Celebrant weapon will yield Runes. Fans can use this information to farm easy Runes in Elden Ring, and those that are playing on PC can actually use a jump attack macro to do this farming while they are AFK.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
