Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware, has now surpassed 12 million sales since its release in late February. Currently the best-selling game in the US, the action RPG is once again demonstrating how expansive its design mechanics truly are, continuing to inspire its players' creativity.
While Elden Ring is innovative in a lot of its core RPG elements, it all begins with the choice of one of its several starting classes that allow players to traverse the Lands Between as they see fit. However, the title's in-depth customization features are a large part of what drives some players' imagination, with some having already fashioned personalities from other fantasy properties. Most notably, Beric Donadarrion from the popular series Game of Thrones was created, but now one fan has used their skills to form a cross-over with Konami's action-adventure franchise Castlevania.
A Redditor has shared their vision of what a playable Alucard from the Castlevania series would look like in Elden Ring. Shared to the Elden Ring subreddit, the original poster The_Slay4Joy's creation bears a real resemblance to the Netflix anime adaptation of the game series, with a well-built, topless Alucard donning his signature long golden locks. Wielding the Godskin Stitcher thrusting sword and wearing preceptors trousers as part of the design, the likeness to the antagonist cannot be understated. The OP has since uploaded the sliders used for others also wanting to recreate the fierce character Alucard.
Many commenters have applauded the likeness of the vampire prince which utilizes Elden Ring's customization features to capture the facial structure exactly, with some urging the creator to make use of the game's whip weapon to also construct the vampire hunter Trevor Belmont. Others have suggested infusing the sword with the Eochaid Dance Ash of War, which grants energy to the armament allowing for a unique dancing ability.
Elden Ring's Ashes of War equippable options have already demonstrated how aerial acrobatics can be used to the player's advantage, with the sword dance weapon skill used to improve mobility. However, a clash between the Belmont family and vampire bloodline would surely make for a thrilling invasion in a Caelid backdrop.
Although the Dracula lore may be limited within Elden Ring to a few bat-like enemies and the undead, the ability to improve magic stats and utilize blood loss status effect on bosses is a perfect way for those looking to shape their character into a vampire entity. With the recent news of Bandai Namco hinting at extending Elden Ring beyond a game, it remains to be seen whether the immortal creatures of the night will make an appearance in the Lands Between beyond fan creations.
