A terrifying Elden Ring bug has recently been discovered that turns Godfrey into a Silent Hill Nurse and makes it easier for the player to stand against. While most of them are minor, bugs can either be detrimental or beneficial to the player. Elden Ring is no stranger to boss fight-related bugs, many of which have survived the game's updates. For example, an Elden Ring player has discovered a new bug that gives Astel a game-breaking move.

Godfrey is a boss in Elden Ring that the Tarnished must defeat to become an Elden Lord. He is known as the husband of Queen Marika, the reigning divine sovereign of the Lands Between. This bloodthirsty warrior must be fought twice, and the second section of the fight comes with stronger versions of his attacks. After taking down the real version of Godfrey in the first section, players will encounter his alter ego, Hoarah Loux, who rushes toward them with a delayed command grab. The boss will also perform many other attacks like claw barrage, leg sweep, and choke slam.

In the video uploaded to the Elden Ring subreddit by oldluke, the player discovered a terrifying bug that makes Godfrey act similar to a Silent Hill nurse. The clip shows Godfrey stuttering and attacking the player when they get too close, and he looks very jittery, unlike his original form. It looks like the bug makes the second section of the fight more stressful.

When standing still and not performing attacks, Godfrey seems to have a nervous breakdown within himself, and he becomes unpredictable. In the comments, one Redditor compared this creepy version of the boss to a massively buff weeping angel that approaches even when they look at him. Some Elden Ring players also claimed they encountered this strange bug during their fight against Maliketh and Malenia.

There are many ways to defeat Godfrey in Elden Ring, such as using the Ash of War called Lightning Slash or specializing in a pair of daggers. It is also possible to dispatch the First Elden Lord at level 1 by copying his moves. Though Godfrey doesn't have a Great Rune to give players, they can get the Remembrance of Hoarah Loux that can be redeemed with Eina either for the Axe of Godfrey or the Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker Ash of War.

Elden Ring's lore can be difficult to grasp and is supported by a number of characters with detailed backstories, including Morgott, Godrick, Sellen, and Miquella. It is no doubt that Godfrey is one of these characters that boasts interesting lore in Elden Ring. It remains to be seen whether more information about his backstory will be revealed in the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
