Elden Ring has more NPC characters than any other FromSoftware game, probably combined. Almost all of them are tied to a unique questline that is progressed when talking to them in other locations throughout The Lands Between. Of all the new faces players are getting to know, the most beloved is perhaps Alexander's.

Alexander is a gigantic pot with arms that players first encounter in Limgrave quite unexpectedly. Many Elden Ring players have compared his demeanor and rich accent to that of the Knights of Catarina from the Dark Souls series, equally beloved NPCs from those games. Finding Alexander isn't too hard, but he's easy to miss if you don't take a certain road.

Iron Fist Alexander is an interesting character, to say the least. He has the appearance of a faceless cauldron topped with what looks like a red seal, and despite his apparent lack of eyes or a mouth, is able to see and talk perfectly fine when other pots throughout Elden Ring cannot. His voice sounds kind, though he's a warrior who seeks to learn more on the ways of war in Caelid.

He's an important NPC to talk to early (and start his questline) because he can later be summoned for some of the hardest fights in the game. After meeting him for the first time, he will move to Caelid, specifically the Gael Tunnel in the northwest, and from there to Redmane Castle to take part in the Radahn Festival.

Where To Find Alexander In Elden Ring

Elden Ring Alexander Iron Fist NPC Location Free From Being Stuck

Iron Fist Alexander can be found in Limgrave just a short trip from the Warmaster's Shack. From the Gatefront Site of Lost Grace, head east along the road until you come to a forested area. Follow the guidance of grace to find the Lost Grace inside the Warmaster's Shack, then continue heading East until the road starts to veer downwards towards the Saintsbridge (there is a Lost Grace here too).

Slow down when you start to descend, and listen for cries for help. If you breeze past this area you may not hear Alexander's calls for aid, so consider dismounting Torrent while looking for him. Once you hear Alexander say, "Hello-o? Can you hear me???" climb over the ledge to the south of the road and follow the voice. You will find Alexander half-buried in the ground. Listen to him talk, then knock him out with a few melee attacks to free him and unlock the Triumphant Delight emote.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
