As players explore the Consecrated Snowfield in Elden Ring, they may come across a tower known as Albinauric Rise. As is the case with many of the game's towers, the entrance to this one is initially blocked by a seal that fans can break by solving a puzzle.

This puzzle is different than other Rises, though, as there isn't text hinting at what to do. Instead, there are two Imp statues outside - a hint in and of itself. For those players that may be stumped by Elden Ring's Albinauric Rise puzzle, details on two possible solutions can be found in this guide.

Updated September 11, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Found late into Elden Ring Albinauric Rise is a Rise unlike others in the rest of the game. Though there are a handful of rises with non-text-based puzzles, this is the only one with absolutely no clues whatsoever except for the presence of two Imp statues. To learn how to get into Albinauric Rise, players must either summon a spirit or acquire a rare consumable item to use on one of these statues. The reward for getting to the top is a great one indeed, one that almost all endgame Sorcery builds can put to good use. It stacks with similar talismans, making it all the more necessary for spellcasters to figure out the puzzle at Albinauric Rise Elden Ring players tend to have difficulty with.

Solution One: Fanged Imp Ashes

The first solution to the Albinauric Rise puzzle centers around the Fanged Imp Ashes. As the name suggests, these Ashes summon two fanged imp spirits when used, and they can be purchased for 2,000 Runes from the Isolated Merchant at Elden Ring's Academy of Raya Lucaria. To reach this vendor, players should make their way to the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace in Raya Lucaria Academy, walk past the seal to the east, and follow the path.

The summoned imps should then be brought close to the hostile imps at the base of the tower in order to put them into combat. Once they have engaged, players can join in on the fight, and the Albinauric Rise seal will open as soon as the enemies have been slain. It is worth noting, too, that the Fanged Imp Ashes are one of the starting items players can choose at the start of Elden Ring.

Solution Two: Bewitching Branch Consumable

Alternatively, players can use a Bewitching Branch on one of the hostile imps at Albinauric Rise to turn it friendly, and they can then have it battle the remaining enemies. Indeed, this approach will also cause the barrier to be broken, and there are a couple of ways to obtain a Bewitching Branch.

The first option is to purchase one from the Nomadic Merchant that is just north of Bellum Church in Liurnia, and the other is to craft one after receiving the Fevor's Cookbook [3] from Gideon in Elden Ring's Roundtable Hold.

Reward For Completing the Albinauric Rise Puzzle

Player locating the Graven-Mass Talisman in Elden Ring.

In a room at the very top of Albinauric Rise, the Graven-Mass Talisman can be found in a small chest. This Elden Ring Talisman "greatly raises the potency of sorceries," increasing the damage of those spells by 8%. There is a similar talisman players can find earlier in the game at Raya Lucaria, but it only increases spell strength by 4%.

Though it takes up two talisman slots, it is possible for magic users to equip the Graven-Mass Talisman alongside the Graven-School Talisman and have their effects stack. A 12% boost to Sorceries is not much more than 8%, ultimately, but this neat little combination can mean the difference between a boss surviving on a sliver of health or being defeated.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
