With Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes proudly wearing its old-school inspirations as a badge of honor, fans shouldn't be surprised that it includes random battles when exploring the field and dungeon areas. As a spiritual successor to the iconic Suikoden series, the battles can be just as frequent in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

It works because it makes leveling up easier, and players can utilize the Auto battle feature for the less challenging fights. However, leveling up takes time without the right equipment. Thankfully, players can find the Growth Badge fairly early in the game's story. It boosts the party's EXP gain in every battle after equipping to one of the characters.

Where To Find The Growth Badge In Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Eiyuden Chronicles HH - Location of the Abandoned Mines

The party can reach the entrance to the Abandoned Mine as soon as they leave Eltisweiss, but a large boulder blocks the entrance. Players must progress through the story until they get a mission to clear the bandits from the Abandoned Mine. After getting the mission from Ymir in the Hero's Den, Nowa and his team must go to Altverden Village in the west and speak to the village elder. He will ask Nowa to deal with the village's bandit problem in the mines.

The party will be better equipped to deal with the enemies and the bosses in the Abandoned Mines if they are at least level 12 .

Eiyuden Chronicles HH - Nowa addressing the bandit situation at the village hall

The Abandoned Mine is located southwest on the Grum County map. Enter the mine, and a cutscene will trigger, showing three men entering the mines after moving the boulder.

Eiyuden Chronicles HH - the suspected bandits arrive at the entrance to the mines

Save the game at the entrance and follow the bandits into the mine. There are many useful items to collect in the dungeon, but this guide will focus on locating the Growth Badge. Push the minecart forward and proceed east. Nowa will find two more minecarts. The second has a boulder that can be smashed through the blocked exit to the north.

Eiyuden Chronicles HH - meeting Hiro in the Mines

Keep heading east, walk through the openings, and run around the circular structures until the party finds a trader called Hiro. Purchase as many healing items as possible from him if this is the first time the party has visited the Underground Mines, as a team of three challenging bosses is waiting at the end.

Eiyuden Chronicles HH - Garr commenting on the elevator puzzle in the Mines
  • Continue east, and the party will come across an elevator puzzle.
  • Place the two carts with the rocks on the elevator, then press the button. This will raise the elevator on the left.
  • Head through the opening in the southwest and follow the eastern path until the party arrives at another save point.
  • Keep heading north until the party arrives at a path with several openings and unopened chests.
Eiyuden Chronicles HH - move the cart and go up the side stairs in the mines

A cart blocks an entrance upstairs. Move the cart to the right and head up the side stairs, but take a left until Nowa arrives at another entrance with a chest outside.

Equip the newly claimed Growth Badge to one of the active party members Eiyuden Chronicle and all the active/fighting party members will receive the EXP boost.

Venture further into the Abandoned Mines and explore every corner to obtain the Dash Shoes and several Runes.

Farm EXP In The Abandoned Mines

Eiyuden Chronicles HH - equipping the Growth Badge

A good place to start farming EXP early with the Growth Badge equipped is the Abandoned Mines themselves. The random battles in the dungeon are frequent, and the enemies can be defeated quickly. Moreover, if this is the first time the party has entered the Abandoned Mines, ensure the Growth Badge is equipped before fighting the three bosses at the end of the dungeon for a big EXP boost.
