Space Pirate Elsie Crimson

Elsie Crimson Edesn Zero

After the Skull Fairy arc in Season 1 of Edens Zero, Elsie Crimson receded to the shadows and played no major role in any of the developments. In Edens Zero’s time of need, however, Elsie makes an appearance once more, saving the doomed battleship from the former Demon King’s wrath. Her timely entrance may seem eerie at first, yet she thoroughly explains the recent events, giving way to a few plausible explanations.

In her last visit to Granbell and Ziggy’s grave, she was able to sense a peculiar Ether emanating from the Demon King’s lifeless body. She left a tracker on his body in a bid to keep tabs on him in case something happens. Her quick thinking allowed her to intervene and deter the Edens One from annihilating the Edens Zero battleship. According to Elsie, it seemed that a dark Ether had taken over Ziggy’s body, and the person that they see in front of them is an entirely different personality, simply taking on the guise of the Demon King.

The series also reveals several details about Elsie and her role as a member of the Oracion Seis Galactica. She also delves into her past and how Ziggy saved her and took her in as his own. The series also cements her as an immensely powerful character after the revelation of her strength being far above Valkyrie’s power. While Elsie’s true motives are yet to be revealed, it’s quite evident that she has earnest loyalties to the Edens Zero crew.

Bracing Dragonfall

Dragonfall Edens Zero

In the beginning of the series, Dragonfall was mentioned a few times, described as a wall of bright, golden Dragons that surround the Sakura Cosmos, acting as a protective barrier of sorts. These Dragons tend to be quite tame and are neutral towards incoming spaceships. Due to Edens One’s destructive pathing and desecration of Dragonfall, the golden Dragons end up becoming highly aggressive and indiscriminately target the Edens Zero battleship.

The brave escape from Dragonfall showcased the Edens Zero’s battle capabilities, proving how well it compares to the Edens One. With the Ether Link connection, Ether Gearists can transform the ship’s weapons into customized Ether barrages. This also indicates that the Edens Zero’s strength is a reflection of those aboard, seeing how Shiki and the rest were able to empower the battleship’s attacks tremendously with their own Ether. With the Ether Link system, the crew was able to make quick work of these divine-like entities, eventually speeding through Dragonfall and exiting the vast Sakura Cosmos.

Entering the Aoi Cosmos

Aoi Cosmos Edens Zero

The next stop for the Edens Zero crew is the Aoi Cosmos, one of the Outer Cosmos in the world of Edens Zero. While little is known about the Aoi Cosmos for now, the series has revealed a few details about this vast world, giving viewers a glimpse of what’s to come. The word ‘Aoi’ translates to ‘fish’ in Japanese, and the cosmos certainly seems to represent this factoid with its ocean themed space. The Aoi Cosmos runs on novel principles of physics as seas and oceans can be found deep within space, with various types of fish floating throughout the cosmos.

The power structure within the Aoi Cosmos also differs considerably from the Sakura Cosmos. Unlike the latter where each planet has its own political structure, the Aoi Cosmos has one ruler that every planet must bow down to: Poseidon Nero. Little is known about this mysterious figure, though the series has revealed his affiliations with the Oracion Seis Galactica. Seeing how he rules over an entire cosmos, his power is expected to be eons above the likes of Drakken Joe.

However, simply being a member of the Oracion Seis Galactica does not indicate a character’s goals and motives. This is evident from the fact that Elsie Crimson sides with the Edens Zero crew despite being a member of this supposedly antagonistic group. This opens up a possibility for Poseidon Nero to possibly serve as an ally, though these are only speculations. For now, the Edens Zero crew has its hands full with the corrupted Demon King, making Shiki’s journey all the more intricate and perplexing.
